An unforgettable, and memorable experience staying at Dongar Matha.Superb location, excellent food and service. Thanks to the hospitality of the lovely hosts Mangesh and Shraddha, we felt like we were at our ancestral family home. Their attention to details, willingness to assist us,and enthusiasm to show us all the wonderful places in Kokan, made our vacation truly unforgettable. Would love to visit those place again and again in the future.

We (a family of 4) stayed at Dongarmatha Eco Care Stay in December 2024. We were traveling to Goa and sought a stopover, choosing Chiplun to explore its birding opportunities. After researching online, we selected Dongarmatha, expertly managed by Shraddha and her husband Mangesh.||Mangesh, an avid birder and nature enthusiast, shared his extensive knowledge with us. The hosts arranged a boat ride on the Vashisht River to spot crocodiles and a visit to Govindgad Fort, regaling us with fascinating stories and facts about Chiplun and its surroundings.||The homestay's tranquil setting, perched atop a small hill overlooking a miniature forest, is nothing short of breathtaking. As a city dweller seeking refuge from the chaos, you will find this peaceful and serene oasis utterly mesmerizing.||A notable aspect of this homestay is its strict no-smoking and no-alcohol policy, ensuring a disturbance-free stay, devoid of loud gatherings and parties.||The rooms, though simple, are impeccably clean and hygienic. The homemade Maharashtrian meals are truly delicious. The staff is exceptionally supportive, catering to all our requests.||To keep guests entertained, the homestay offers a variety of games. Moreover, our host arranged a fascinating stargazing session using his telescope. He also accompanied us on guided nature walks, sharing his expertise and passion for the surroundings.||The warm hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable. Our overall experience was outstanding, making this homestay a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and worthy of a repeat visit.

Had the pleasure of staying at Dongarmatha in April 2025. Our hosts Mangesh & Shraddha Govekar meticulous planned & arranged our reservations, rooms, food & activities (trekking, stargazing, bird watching, geoglyph visit ). The stay was perfect. We enjoyed a lot. Highly recommend Dongarmatha as a great experience.

Pleasant stay with superb, homely, and tasty Konkani food. The host was excellent, and the herbal tea at the hilltop and during the waterfall trek was amazing. Overall, I loved the experience and will surely visit again. For those traveling to Goa, this is a peaceful, nature-filled retreat at Parshuram, close to the Parshuram Temple. If the steep drive seems challenging, they kindly offer to pick you up. Highly recommended !

It was a wonderful stay we ever had. The host is so friendly. He is a naturalist and imparted knowledge about various things like birds, moths, photography, star gazing etc. We realised that he has a deep knowledge in all the subjects and very passionate about the same. Also he is very sensitive towards the well being of the mankind.

Amazing place to visit, surrounded with lush green trees and wide species of birds singing around. Mangesh and team has taken mammoth Efforts to create a outstanding experience in the laps of mother nature. The traditional authentic cuisines are must to taste and Cary the essence with you.|You should definitely visit once to experience

Visited with my whole family. Its very different and interesting place and very seperate than other Holday homes and Hotels it totally makes you nostalgic about your childhood visits to native villages. The rooms are simple and very well maintained with simple paintings on wall.Though ACs are non existent we felt no need since it is located on top most location on Hill. Mangesh and Shraddha are great hosts and make you feel at home and are always available. Mangesh will take you to tours like the boat ride on Vashishthi, Govalkot fort, Trek to waterfalls and has immense knowledge of the flora and fauna around and is eager to share. Finally the best part is the homely food that is served with dishes rarely served in any restaurant but enjoyed by all ages. We definitely can conclude that it was memorable trip and money well spent.
