Hotel Bandhavgarh Palace

We stayed here twice, both for only one night on our way to and from Bandhavgarh national park. ||It is very close to the train station and a short tuk tuk drive away from the bus station. It also only around. 5-10 minute walk into town for shops, market etc. ||The rooms were very clean and nicely presented and there was free wifi downstairs. ||The food was delicious! And we thoroughly enjoyed both the dal an the Alu Gobi. ||The staff were very friendly, and a couple of the men in particular had excellent English. ||

DO NOT STAY HERE FOR MORNING TIGER SAFARI...you'll thank me......I did that and it didn't go too well. First of all staff don't speak English, they don't have a phone apparently and they promised to get me a cab, but driver didn't pick up calls so I had to go for my safari (late) on a tuk tuk from railway station. You get what you pay for I guess.....if they bring you a bottle of water, don't drink it, it's tap water. Mosquitos enter through bathroom window so watch out for that. In the perfect scenario that you have evening safari and a very very late/early train next day, THEN YES, it might be worth it but shut windows.

I stayed in this hotel for one night, hotel is located very close to railway station just before entry of the umaria city. Hotel is small and having lot of restaurant nearby as there is bus stand. Considering the city I can say this is the best option. The quality of off food is ok and offering only continental dishes. Very few people can speak English. If you like north Indian food and knowing Hindi than this is good option. ||||The bid problem in this hotel is very close to road and all time there will be huge vehicle noise.

Roons are big, beautifully arranged. Shortcoming: in the winter (December) in the room in the evening and at night was very cold. Stayed there two consecutive nights out of no other choice. The bed sheets and pillow cover were filthy, the wash basin had black stains. Thankfully being on a 7000km trip across a small stretch of India, we were carrying sufficient bed sheets and other needs to cater to any situation leading to sleeping in the car or outside. We used that to make our own beds. Stayed there a night and checked out to go to Bandhavgarh on work. Came back to the place as our plan of driving forward did not work because we got delayed and all the resorts in Bandhavgarh were still closed until the 1st of October. Found that the very same sheets, pillow covers and bed sheets from last night had been straightened but not changed. Thankful again to be having our own stuff. The place was cheap. Only 1100 a night, so possibly shouldn't complain... But just to let the status be known. However, the helper Jatin(?) was a nice guy who was al smiles at all times and pleasant to interact although he didn't manage to change the sheets.

Most Ordinary Hotel serving as Gateway to Bandhavgarh National Park. This hotel is in Umaria just 500m walk from the Umaria Railway Station. Bandhavgarh National Park is approximately 33km away from Umaria. As the hotel is near to Umaria Bus Stand and Railway Station so you can choose to stay here if you reach Umaria late in the evening or cant reach Bandhavgarh or Tala Gate that day itself. Don't expect much from the hotel except proximity to the Railway Station. You can hire a auto for visiting Bandhavgarh National Park. The rooms are not maintained as well as the toilets. Good for male bachelor travelers or solo travelers. Not at all recommended for family stay.

Fully satisfied with hotel arrangement bigger room bigger bathroom tv ac sofa double bed all included in 800 for 2 persons. I and my wife visited there when going to bandhavgarh park. Will prefer every couple or family to stay as it is worth to stay in low price with good facilities.

This is a good lawn or hotel. It has a huge hall at bottom floor with two dressing rooms with attached bathrooms and two common bathrooms in hall for common . And ground floor consist of no.s of rooms which can be booked seperately with some other charges. It does not have any parking facility.
