Wildlife Retreat Bandhavgarh

Visited there during 31st last year at it was absolute amazing. Few points that I liked- 1. All rooms are big and spacious so no need to fall under the gimmick of rooms of various size and prices. 2. Location is outskirts and great into the lap of nature 3. Food and service is really great. Dislikes- The reason I gave it an overall 3 star is the price of the food is too much. I understand that getting stuff this far could be costly but 50rs for 1 boiled egg & 40 for 1 roasted papad is outrageous. So my humble request is just to get the prices of normal food and snacks bit reasonable. Rest all really good. Had a great time. Thanks

Exceptional Stay at Wildlife Retreat, Bandhavgarh I recently had the pleasure of staying at Wildlife Retreat, Bandhavgarh, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality. The staff was incredibly courteous and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention to Mr. Ramlal, the Manager, whose dedication, knowledge, and kindness made our experience even better. His attention to detail and willingness to assist with anything we needed was truly commendable. The owner has done a fantastic job in creating a retreat that seamlessly blends luxury with nature, making it an ideal getaway for wildlife lovers. The food was outstanding--delicious, fresh, and homely. Every meal was prepared with great care, offering a perfect mix of local flavors and comforting dishes. Whether it was breakfast before an early morning safari or a hearty dinner after a long day, every bite was a delight. One of the most heartwarming parts of our stay was meeting a sweet and lovable dog that has made the retreat its home. This friendly soul won our hearts with its affectionate nature and playful energy. It was a joy to have such a warm companion around, adding to the overall charm of the place. The retreat itself is beautifully maintained, offering clean and cozy accommodations surrounded by nature. It's the perfect place to relax after an adventurous day in the jungle. I highly recommend Wildlife Retreat, Bandhavgarh, to anyone visiting the region. It offers an incredible mix of great hospitality, delicious food, and a truly serene atmosphere. Rooms were clean (spotless!), service was impeccable, and location was prime! Ramlalyadav worked endlessly to ensure we had the best at experience at the lodge and in Bandhavgarh. We only decided to come two days prior, and had no safaris booked, and relied on last minute (taktal bookings). He picked us up late at night, drove us early morning to score last minute safari, would be there when the safari ended, worked tirelessly to help us get the safari we wanted (against the odds! Made the impossible possible). He truly was the best and the stay and safari wouldn't have been the same without him.

It's a comparatively new resort in bandhavgarh having 6 Rooms( cottages). We got booked it online through travel/ booking website. Rooms- the rooms are quite large and can easily accommodate 3-4 people( with additional bedding). Has all the basic amenities in room- bed,tv,ac, sofa,table,dressing mirror, towel,soap etc. Bathroom were neat and clean with hot water facility. The room lacked certain essentials , such as mini fridge, telecom connection for room service/ orders,kettle, condiments for tea/coffee, anti mosquito measures allout etc. The construction workmanship like carpenter ,plumbing needs a thorough check, door knobs,handles, tap knobs although of parryware, but not fixed properly, comes into your hand while trying to operate it . Out side area- electrically fenced ,gated property,secure from wild animals since it's located in jungle very near to tala gate area. Campus has wifi. Garden area is good, maintained well and they are working upon landscaping still. Open air dinning area present. Bonfire can be arranged if want to relax in evening (after returning from safari). Swimming pool is not there. Service- the staff is very very cooperative and helpful. The manager himself took all the pains in arranging gypsies to and from resort although we had only booked online safari permit. The staff helped with every minute requirement we had immediately with ever smiling and happy faces. They were 24x7 present in the campus. Food- every food item in breakfast,meals were cooked freshly in kitchen. As per taste/ spicy needs the food was cooked as per order. They serve both veg and non veg food . The food was hence superb and satisfying.packaged water available (at extra cost) Overall - a decent property,all basics present,good service and helpful staff. Food is excellent ,stay was fun and comfortable ( couldnot see tiger that day although,still was enjoying with family).

Ramlalyadav went above & beyond to ensure we have the best stay, worked tirelessly to help us get the safari we wanted (against the odds), and took care of all our transport as much as needed. Thanks again for everything!

Wowww.. what a place. Recently stayed here for a day. Amazing property in Bandhavgarh surrounded by nature. Calm, comfy, peaceful environment. Clean rooms, polite and helpful staffs. Lovely service and yummy food.

We had an excellent time. The services by the staff, especially Mr Ramlal and team is exemplary and we were taken care of Infact, we were pampered.... Room is quite spacious and the vast property itself is highly enjoyable.... We would love to come back again... Capt GVR Murty (IN, Retd)

We were planning for a family trip to Bandhavgarh from a long time as many of our friends suggested that its a paradise for tigers and has higher probability of sighting a tiger. In addition, its very scenic and beautiful forest reserve. Based on all these inputs, decided and planned to go for Bandhavgarh tiger safari in month of February. Now, the next tough task was to find a peaceful, clean hotel for stay which should take care of food and that too without being heavy on your pocket. Did lots of research over web and stumbled upon this new property named Wildlife Retreat. The another plus point in favor of this property was its proximity to core area to get real jungle feel. Discussed with family to take their inputs and decided to go for it though we were little skeptical as it was newer property. But as soon as we checked in to the property , we all , including our kids were delighted to see the hotel. Its one of those rare property which we found more comfortable and family friendly that we could imagine after seeing its photographs :) . Kids enjoyed the open area outside the cottages and played whenever we were not in jungle. Me and my wife also had peaceful and relaxed time sitting outside and chit-chatting with tons of greenery around. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Special mention of the food, it was tasty and could cater to our varied demands specially from kids. Whole family really enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend this property ! five stars - well deserved.
