The Tiger Valley Resort

I don't know where to start from. A picturesque resort in the middle of the jungle is always a dream destination for the wilderness lovers like me and so is the Tiger Valley Resort in Bandhavgarh National Park. I don't think there are many resort in India in the vicinity of a jungle that offers such raw nature to the wilderness enthusiasts. A lucky tourist can spot the elusive big cat from the terrace of this resort only since the resort is located very strategically between two core zones of the forest. Now coming to their service I must say that all the staffs working there be it Dhaniaram ji or Ashish ji (and many more names that I can't recall) will always greet you with a smiling face and offer you a wonderful service you will always remember. Their food is excellent , their rooms are so spacious and the location of the resort is in such a place that you will never feel crowded, a feature that should be your priority during any tour specially to a jungle. It is situated near the Khitauli gate of the forest. I will always stay there during my future Bandhavgarh tour and recommend this resort to others as it offers you an unforgettable experience of your lifetime.

Resort is good. Staff is very polite and helpful. Location is in the core area side of Khitauli zone. Each cottage is having 2 rooms and a bathroom. Spacious ones. Food is good quality. Timely service. Only major difficulty is no mobile network. Even for wifi is also very low signal. Not even we can attend emergency calls. In the nights we can clearly hear alarm calls of deers and peacock. Hot water available. Also toiletries provided.

Went there to attend a friend's wedding. Situated in the core zone deep into the Bandhavgarh National Park, it is truly a getaway from fast, chaotic and loud city life. There is no cell reception and wifi only works at a certain place. This gives us an opportunity to go completely off the grid and enjoy the nature and quiet around us. Rooms and amenities could be better but the food is delicious.

Had a great time at the tiger valley resort. Beautiful ambience surrounded by lush forest and actually wanna recommend this to others!! staff is also great and surely wanna say ashish gupta done a fantastic job by hosting us and soham singh also has taken care of me along with the days. Thanks staff. Surely wanna recommend and if you are planning to sight some tigers from your window its the best resort you are looking for :)

Placed at the midst of the forest. It is a wonderful place to stay in Bandhavgarh. Service of the resort is excellent and all the staffs are very well behaved and helpful. The food is excellent. The most attractive thing is that you can watch wild animals roaming around the resort.

If you want to stay inside a jungle, that too a tiger reserve, then you are left with very few options within our country. Tiger Valley Resort is one among them. Probably the best option for your tiger cravings. Because, firstly Bandhavgarh is well known for having one of the highest density of The Royal Bengal Tigers in India and secondly, the location of the resort is beautifully situated in between the corridor of Khitauli & Magadhi, 2 core zones of the Tiger Reserve, which provides an excellent opportunity to spot The Majestic Big Cats on the move. Their rooms & foods are of good quality too. On top of that you will be treated with utmost care by all the staff of the resort. There is a very beautiful urge present among all the staff of the resort to help you spot the Big Cats from their property, which is very much welcoming. Contact their manager, Mr. Ashish about your trip & for planning the Safaris. He is a born wildlife lover, i can bet you, you will understand, the moment you meet him and chit chat for some time. He will guide you with all his knowledge & provide you with the best experience possible while staying at their property. So to wrap up, I will request all the Wildlife Lovers around The Globe with a special taste for The Royal Bengal Tigers, to visit The Tiger Valley Resort at least once. You will fall in love with the place, that will bring you again and again to the resort, for the stay experience, the nail biting adventure, an overall invaluable memory to cherish for some time to come. This was one of the worst stays I have ever had. |||Before booking, I had checked the photos of the Cottage room and went by the reviews that quoted tiger sightings from the property. Sadly, none of these were accurate.|||When we arrived, we were informed that our room has been "upgraded" to a bigger room. Then we were shown a room just beside the reception entry, which was large but looked very basic. We insisted on the Cottage room that we had booked, and this started the entire bad experience. The first problem we noticed was that most of the bulbs in the room were not working - they tried to rectify that but there looked to be a wiring problem not easily solvable. The other problem was the hot water in the bathroom. We waited for over an hour testing the water as they insisted that its a new geyser and it just takes time.|||Finally, having wasted more than half a day, we gave up and accepted the "upgraded" room. The privacy concern we had with the location of this was anyways not an issue as the entire resort was empty. This room is a large rectangular room, split into 2 room with wooden partitions. The bathroom was again huge but was "clean-ish" and not at all inviting. We had to spend the night here but checked out and moved to a better resort in Bandhavgarh, which I don't want to mention here but you can get by checking my reviews.|||The worst thing that pissed me off was the Wifi situation. Being out of the city, there is Zero mobile coverage. There's Wifi available but only in the owner's bungalow which is in the same premises. We guests, who are second-grade citizens here, need to stand at different locations in the hotel and hopefully point our mobiles toward their bungalow to get at least a single bar of Wifi.|||Having called out all the bad things, there were some good things as well. The service given by folks who manage the hotel was truly great. This at least made the single day we were here manageable.

Tiger Valley Resort resides in the core of Bandhavgarh Tiger reserve. It is territory of tigers and other animal also. Staff is very humble and polite. Food is delicious. Amenity wise is also good. One must visit to experience the jungle activities.
