We had a wonderful 3 night stay in a Luxury Tent at Reni Pani Jungle Lodge. The tent was very comfortable and quite remote from the main area which really gave a jungle experience. Our veranda overlooked a waterhole where many birds and monkeys visited during our time there. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Food was delicious and plentiful. We had several enjoyable safaris with our expert Naturalist, Naman, whose passion and knowledge of wildlife and it's environment was commendable. As well as spotting lots of wildlife Naman managed to get us good sightings of sloth bear which was on our wish list. On a night drive we had a rare sighting of a dusky eagle owl and on the way back to the lodge a thrilling sighting of a leopard and her cub interacting along the track. Staying at the lodge was truly an unforgettable part of our trip to India.

Our naturalist guide Naman was both ultra-friendly and an expert on the park and its many inhabitants! We came here after 5 nights in Bandhavgarh as we'd been informed there was a good chance of seeing sloth bears in Satpura. This was definitely the case, and we didn't just see them, but regularly came within meters, and witnessed various behaviours, from tree climbing to bear fights! We weren't expecting to see tigers here, but in fact, we got our very best tiger sighting in India on the third day of our stay. The hospitality staff at Reni Pani were also great - we didn't come to India for a food holiday, but the passion of the chef and waiting staff meant every meal was an exploration, with local cuisine being a big theme. The rooms are rustic in style, but cleaned and maintained to a high standard - we were here in the hot season, and the rooms were a cool sanctuary during the hottest parts of the day.
A warm welcome upon arrival would have been greatly appreciated. Given that we were traveling with a 4-year-old and staying in the buffer zone, a room closer to the main area would have made things easier in case of emergencies. That said, the place truly offers an immersive forest experience. One of the most interesting aspects is that if you need network access, you have to walk all the way to the library zone--adding to the adventure!||The naturalists here are deeply passionate about the jungle, making our journey both exciting and educational. We returned with so much knowledge, thanks to their enthusiasm. A big shoutout to Manan for recommending this place! Premsingh ji, you are a star!||Ashutosh and the dining team, you were fantastic--thank you for taking such great care of us. And Mr. Siddhartha, we truly appreciate everything!
We had a terrific experience here. Our tent was great, the food was excellent (esp. when we asked them to spice it up), the staff was super helpful--everything you'd expect from a property of this caliber. But what really stood out was the level of personalized attention we got in our safaris. We always had our own jeep or boat, and on every one of our outings we were accompanied by the same dedicated in-house naturalist (the indefatigable and impressively knowledgable Naman), who booked all our tours, regaled us with wonderful stories and explanations, served us breakfast mid-morning, made sure we were first in line at the park gate and got to see every inch of the core zone, and was able to spot everything we wanted to see--a tiger, of course, as well as croc, gaur, sambar and spotted deer, sloth bear, giant squirrel, boar, a myriad birds and, most surprising of all, the elusive rusty spotted cat during a night safari in the buffer zone. We really felt like special guests.
Jungle lodges spring up everywhere and is difficult to differentiate between them. Reni Pani has excellent pedigree, being sister to the wonderful Jehan Numa Palace Hotel in Bhopal, itself a great stopping off point en route to the jungle of Satpura National Park. Reni Pani has great cabins in woodland but this time we stayed in one of their luxury tents overlooking a waterhole. We were too busy enjoying its beautifully appointed facilities to bother looking out at any passing wildlife. Forays into the jungle are organised by Reni Pani, so all you have to do is wake up on time, enjoy the safari ride and savour some great cuisine on your return from the jungle. Situated close to the Tawa reservoir, you can take boat rides to discover birdlife and the occasional crocodile as well as take bush walks. We think there's little to compare with Reni Pani in Satpura - other than Bori Safari Lodge, which is also theirs!
A memorable experience of exceptional housing, hospitality & food. The staff went beyond the call of duty. Almost felt like our every wish was fulfilled. A special shout out to their naturalist Ram Singh. Extremely knowledgeable & very eager for us to experience the best & as much as of their land as possible. On our last evening he drove us to Madhai to view a beautiful sunset over the river. But prior to that he planned a high tea of pakoras, cake & French press coffee in the woods. This must have been tough to resist since he himself was fasting for Maha Shivratri. It was a lovely evening to cap our experience at Reni Pani. At the same time they are very eco conscious. Upon our arrival we were gifted with steel water bottles to avoid using plastic & a very sweet moment. Another cute moment the night of our departure was a eco friendly material travel pillow!!
First of all, my gratitude to Mr. Sourabh! Who patiently followed and replied in a very supportive and detailed way every single concern I raised for support :)||Just arriving at Reni Pani I realised the place is unique due to its isolated location and consequently natural surroundings that make it attractive even if you only stay at the lodge, you can spot different bird species, playful palm squirrels and some macaques but not limited to.||Rooms are so cozy!! I could not spend enough time in mine to really enjoy all the great details, personally, I felt I had my private space but without losing that connection with the nature, thanks to the windows placed in different points where even if you are washing your hands in the rest room you will see out there, so, if you like birding for instance you will not lose any single chance! Furthermore, this combination of windows and the areas where you can sit or lay down sets the perfect moment if you enjoy writing while travelling. I loved the rustic touch but well ornamented with local handcraft works, having your own grinded coffee and French press, as well as tea bag options if you prefer and delicious biscuits to complement a quick but tasty meal. On top of that, the terrace is perfect if you look for a moment of relaxation or talking to yourself. ||Safaris!! I was so lucky to start with a boat trip and spotting a couple of cubs resting in the river shore, it might be a coincidence, but our naturalist Naman guided us to such place knowing there was a possibility to find them.|Next day, exploring the buffer and core zones with Franklin I had the chance to see and photograph diversity of birds and, our reward by end of the day was to find a couple of sloth bears foraging for food in the forest, one of them moving to the road and looking at us to immortalize such moment!||If the above were not enough, I have to mention that the small library is also a place to visit due to the different photography and wildlife books they have, once again, I was so busy out there that I could not enjoy that space.||Finally, the food!! Thanks to all the team that prepare the meals and are always attentive asking what would you like to try and if you enjoy the dishes, moreover, welcoming you after any trip with refreshing drinks or chai; special thanks to Sharna and Siddhartha supervising everything goes well and my appreciation for explaining to me the gulab jamun recipe.||It was so lovely experience to start my first travel through India, dhanyavaad to every single person that forms Reni Pani Team!! I hope we will see each other again :)
