Forsyth Lodge - Satpura National Park

We didn't know what to expect at the Lodge; it was so heartwarming to have the Forsyth team welcome us with such warmth, including the benign Bronze snake from above the roof at the entrance! |Our stay was simply fantastic. Cosy rooms, beautiful surroundings, warm friendly staff catering to everyone's requirements, scrumptious meals each time - innovatively presented by Chef Krishna who is a part n parcel of the Lodge. |Each safari, under the expert guidance of Mr Sanal was exhilarating and absolute success where sightings were concerned. |Forsyth is a bird watchers paradise. One would keep coming back to this cosy homelike lodge and yet be surprised each time. |Thanks to each member of the Lodge for making our stay so memorable. |Waiting to go back soon!

The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with very comfortable beds! Cottages are built for privacy, in the natural habitat. The food was tasty and we had multiple delicious meals - both Indian and Continental. The safari's are well managed and we experienced 3 of them - the core area evening safari (2 tigers & 3 bears), night safari in the buffer zone, the boat safari cruise (crocodile) along the river banks. Most importantly, the staff was attentive & caring to our every need - Nipun the manager and Faiz the naturalist were just fantastic. Our thanks to the team for making our stay memorable.

I can only recommend to come here. Unforgettable place, beautiful lodge, friendly people, great wildlife experience. Yummy food and all over clean. We celebrated our birthday here, and we were touched by so much warmth and welcoming by the staff at the lodge. We got a cake and dinner at different areas. So much effort into small details that makes one happy and brings a smile onto your face. Holy was lovely - seeing Indian culture at its roots. Happy to have been here.

Great location close to Madhei Gate, its a large property, a huge part of which has been kept wild. The Naturalist team led by Faiz was superb, and helped us plan our safaris well in advance. We had wonderful sightings on every drive - while luck plays a great part, Faiz's knowledge of the forest and its wildlife was critical . The cottages were of a high quality, spacious and spotlessly clean. The food was very good. The team went out of their way to meet our every request, especially relating to food preferences. As we had had our fill of seeing tigers in Madhei zone, on the last day we took the day safari to Churna zone. Very few vehicles, beautiful landscapes, a good lunch at the Forest rest house. Recommended, though sightings were apparently fewer than at Madhei at the time we visited. However, we did see 2 tigers there as well, close by on the road, and we were the only vehicle at the spot! Without any hesitation we would recommend Forsyth Lodge to visitors to Satpura NP, especially those who value quality natural wildlife experiences more than unnecessary frills.

My recent visit to Forsyth Lodge was a magical experience. Friendly staff, lovely secluded grounds, beautifully furnished cottage with a huge walk-in shower and excellent facilities. Fabulous food, with meals served in different locations, including a candle lit dinner on the outside terrace. The highlight was the sighting of my first tiger, thanks to the expert knowledge of my naturalist guide Faiz. Highly recommended.

With jungle around and an occasional view of wild on the property itself while living peacefully with all possible amenities, Forsyth Lodge was certainly a unique experience! While the approach is slightly difficult, welcome was nice, stay is comfortable (we stayed in Gondia cottage) and the food (both the local variety as well as that prepared in the formal kitchen) was good! Unfortunately, the AN safari was not available on our day of stay, a small property/jungle tour was refreshing. A better bar and some sort of evening entertainment (local folk music/dance or other performance ) could have been an icing on the cake.||We enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to all nature loving friends!!

The best wildlife lodge I have stayed in so far! Great location, luxurious rooms with all basic amenities, friendly and helpful staff and amazing food across all meals sum up a perfect vacation at the Forsyth Lodge!||Our 3 night stay at the property was made memorable by Nipun who was our go to person for all queries related to the area and the wildlife.He is a treasure trove of knowledge and is tireless in sharing his knowledge while in a safari or otherwise.Worth mentioning that we had booked our safari in the core way before our travel dates through the lodge itself. A special mention needs to be made of the chef , who we wanted to but couldn't meet.What an amazing culinary artist he is! All the meals, snacks etc. were mouth watering- ly tasty!||All in all it was a great 3 nights spent at the property, not to mention the 2 tigers we saw while on safari! We will surely be back!

Wonderful place with great service and excellent food. We had wonderful sightings with the in-house naturalists. |We stayed in the machan cottage (Bheel ) the rooms are well equipped, you may encounter an odd spider often but they seem harmless. |The lodge is well equipped and the team is very helpful is organising the safari experience.|Must visit...
