We visited Amrai in April 2012 but we still cherish the memories. It has been a wonderful experience. The rooms are very tastefully done and give the feeling of staying in the lap of nature. The food, served in traditional style, was very delicious. The resort manager was very helpful and made our stay really comfortable. He even arranged the traditional dance for us at a very short notice. The first-hand experience of living in a village was really awsome. My daughter still reminisces about the bullock-cart ride. We came came back truly refreshed.

Me and my friend stayed at Amraee Guest house in Chanderi. It is almost 3 kms from Chanderi Town. I liked the greenery and beautiful rural settings. ||||The weather was nice so we were okay with the cooler however on a hot day, an ac is a must but they have disconnected the air conditioners so they are just show piece.||||Jagbhan bhaiya is the caretaker of this property. He is a damn good cook. All the simple vegetables cooked by him were ridiculously awesome.. Literally!!!||||Another helper guy was also very co-operative. I loved my short and sweet time spent there.
I have traveled to Chanderi several times but was not aware of Amraee (located in the nearby village of Pranpur) on my earlier trips. Spent 3 nights at Amraee in the month of December, in 2014, while on my last trip to the place and found it quite delightful. ||||The best thing about Amraee is the food - it is not just delicious but also free from the excessive spice that commercial restaurants dish out regularly. In that sense it is close to North Indian home food, with the added flavours of the region called Bundelkhand, in which Chanderi-Pranpur lies. ||||The next best thing are the people. Earthy and rustic, the staff at Amraee - led by their manager Rajpal - is ever ready to help out in planning trips and are always smiling too. ||A stay at Amraee brings an urban dweller very close to how rural India lives and works. The place is unpretentious and clean. The evenings are silent and the mornings cool. One morning, I was thrilled to hear and then see a woodpecker knocking on my window - the kind of early morning visitor who is sorely missed in cities. ||||In summary, the place serves as an excellent base to explore the heritage rich region of Chanderi. I will be going back to Amraee again.
One of the best places to experience the ground level first hand. Teamed with the village life experience, the guest house offers comfort and facilities that will bring a smile on your face. Enjoy the pottery making experience, or a nice walk around the village, or even indulge in some shopping of chanderi silk right from the artisans. The guest house is nested amid nature and you are sure to catch birds, butterflies and natural fauna.||||The rooms are very well maintained and the staff is extremely helpful. Go on and enjoy a chat with the guest house manager under the mango tree teamed with tea and breakfast. I also happened to check some hotels around Chanderi while on my stay, but nothing beats this experience. Thank you so much to Travel Another India as well to make this experience amazing and fruitful.
We were in Pranpur in January 2013 for 3 days during our india trip. We reached the village by car from Lalitpur station. We felt like we were at home - friendly people, cozy and clean rooms, decorated with traditional silk curtains, excellent food, hot water. We woke up in the morning hearing birds songs, it felt fantastic after noise of Indian cities. We had great great guide who showed and told us everything and even more. Chanderi and places around are rich with monuments, from gupta period ruins and Jaina cave temples through XIIth century misque and XIVth century beutiful hindu temples to Chanderi fort and muslim tombs. And splendid chanderi sarees are special topic. Craftsman in Pranpur showed us the process and gave the opportunity to try weaving.||I hope that we will return there some day. Wish Amrae guest house well being!
It seems like an experiment by MP Tourism abandoned in the middle. The architecture was good but no maintenance. Although the staff gave us homely food at a very reasonable price.
Amraee guest house was a wonderful experience... From the staff to the swing on the Mango tree and the villagers (who are stake holders in Amraee) who came to check if all was well with us...||The rooms are big, toilets clean and food healthy, wholesome and yummy. The staff is very very friendly and caring and happy to organise anything for you.||||The village of pranpur is enchanting if weaving interests you and if it doesn't then just relax by the mango trees.
We went to Chanderi for business work and staying with Amraee was the only option. But to my surprise the place was very clean, well protected, within nature. The food was cooked with great care and taste. It was a marvellous unexpected unforgettable experience. Thanks to all Amraee staff
