My wife and I stayed recently at one of the new tents at Bagh Tola (Founders Camp). Founders Camp is a separate section which has 4 new (v v plush) tents with a separate dining area and pool for this section. Apart from obviously being very plush, each of the new tents has a 2nd powder toilet in addition to a full toilet/bathroom (with his/her sink, a shower and full size free standing tub). Each tent has a separate living area, which has a sofa cum bed. Take a look at the pictures and you'll see that clearly a lot of thought has gone into the design of the rooms.||The lodge is over 40 acres (with just 10 tents in total), which means it's a mini jungle in itself. They even have a machan inside the property overlooking a water body which is regularly visited by a tigress who now has cubs also (yes, believe it!)).|| I've been to multiple Taj Safari lodges in India (including Bandhavgarh) and honesty this place blows them away. We also stated at the newly opened Oberoi Vindhyavilas on our trip. The Oberoi was nice but doesn't give you a jungle lodge feel like Founders Camp does. The Oberoi tents are similar to Vanyavilas or Sukhvilas.||The food at Founders Camp was also outstanding. They took our food preferences in advance and every meal was a delight - delicately prepared and not heavy or oily because we had safari drives to go on.||They have several naturalists inhouse. Yash, who was with us all through, is a treasure trove of info on the judge. Well spoken, patient and truly passionate about Bandhavgarh.||Also a shout out to Tony and Sunny who are in charge of the operations at the lodge and were super hospitable.|We can't wait to be back at Bagh Tola!

Very comfortable lodge with easy access to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. Great staff, lovely grounds, and excellent food.||Our naturalist guide/driver, Vijaybhan, was superb. He had an amazing ability to predict how the tigers would behave and position us so that we would have excellent views. We had some amazing tiger sightings and got some great photos. Vijay was also extremely familiar with the bird life so, in addition to the tigers, we saw over 100 new species of birds.||We had full days in the Tiger Reserve (as opposed to mornings +/- afternoons. It was well worth it to spend the full days in the park as it increased our sightings by quite a bit.
Incredible Safari Experience with Bagh Tola - April 12-15||||We had a truly memorable stay at Bagh Tola from April 12 to 15. The experience was seamless and thoughtfully curated from start to finish.||||The staff were warm, attentive, and professional. A special thanks to Sunny, the lodge manager, who ensured every detail was taken care of with a smile.||||Our naturalist, Yash Mane, made the safaris deeply enriching with his vast knowledge and passion for the jungle. And Vijay Bahn, our driver, made the game drives comfortable and safe.||||The tents are of exceptional quality -- reminiscent of top-tier African tented camps, combining rustic charm with luxurious comfort.||||Food was another highlight! From the refreshing chia pudding to the delightful Boma dinner under the stars, every meal was a treat.||||We look forward to collaborating more to promote such a beautiful and authentic safari experience.||||Thank you, Team Bagh Tola!
Had a wonderful stay at Bagh Tola. Its perfectly located in the buffer zone of Bandhavgarh Park. The tents are so comfortable, air-conditioned with king size beds and en-suite bathrooms.Food was amazing, all served outdoors in different locations around the resort. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay so special like finding a hot water bottle in your bed at night! Always there to see you off on safari drives and to welcome you back with hot towels and drinks to refresh. Had some wonderful safari drives accompanied by one of their naturalists, Akshay, and we got to see tigers which was very special. It really is an amazing place to stay and I would highly recommend a stay here. Would love to return some day.
Returning to Baghtola for my second visit was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the team--particularly Tony, Yash, and Akshay--made us feel completely at home. Their attention to detail and genuine care elevated the experience, making it truly memorable.||||The luxury tents strike the perfect balance between comfort and immersion in nature. Impeccably clean, well-appointed, and wonderfully cozy, they provide an ideal retreat after a day of exploration. The culinary experience at Baghtola was equally impressive--the thoughtfully curated menu, featuring fresh organic ingredients and a variety of cuisines, was outstanding. A particular highlight for me was the breakfast chia pudding, which I enjoyed so much that I've attempted to recreate it at home.||||The surrounding forest is breathtaking, and the expertise of the two naturalists made every safari deeply engaging. Their passion and extensive knowledge added a fascinating layer to the experience, allowing us to appreciate the ecosystem in a far more meaningful way. We were fortunate to witness extraordinary wildlife, including tigers, a leopard, and even the rare sighting of a porcupine.||||Baghtola will always feel like home to me in Bandhavgarh. The combination of exceptional hospitality, immersive wildlife experiences, and a deep connection to nature makes it a place I will undoubtedly return to. Looking forward to my next visit!
We recently stayed at the new founder camp at Bagh Tola. I echo the sentiments of all the previous reviews - 5 stars does not do justice to this place It was truly an unforgettable experience. The accommodation was luxurious with all the amenities. The culinary experience was wow .. Sunny and his team exuded a special warmth and personal touch to every meal . Personal preference was taken care of on a daily basis . The food was exquisitely presented with fine details taken into consideration for every course. We saw the TIGERS... Vijaybhan and Kalyan made sure that our first sighting was an unforgettable experience. They both were so passionate about their vocation with an immense wealth of knowledge.. Just being in the forest with them came with another level of appreciation for mother nature . Thank u Jason from wilderness uncut for making this holiday possible. From the moment we touched down in india till the time we left every little detail was taken care of . A trip that has left an unforgettable mark in our lives Thank u wilderness uncut and BAGH TOLA staff for making this possible
Excellent place if you are visiting Bandhavgarh National Park! |Communication before my arrival was always clear, helpful and dynamic.||Once arriving at the place, I was welcomed by Akshay (manager) and Vijaybhan, who was my naturalist during my stay and safaris, they shared with me a general introduction about the accommodation, services and always keept the door open for any doubt or suggestions. ||Special thanks to Vijaybhan! I am very grateful for his attention to detail, asking what my sighting expectations were, enriching the nature observation with history and cultural facts; his always dedicated efforts while driving, tracking and spotting wildlife were crowned with the couple of tigers we could watch during the 1st afternoon trip and, the breathtaking moment we experienced by the end of the second day witnessing a leopard hunting a langur, which was more than an amazing and once in a life experience!! Even him was so astonished despite all his years as a guide :) ||I do appreciate his attentiveness to allow me taking a lot of pictures, parking the gypsy in the best possible angle, furthermore, this kind of notice was replicated when requesting the kitchen staff to bring an espresso or preparing gulab janum after sharing my personal taste for it, once again, making sure you enjoy your time; I can see the same behavior from the staff in general, always willing to help and welcoming you with an smile every time crossing paths. I got totally surprised when Akshay got me a memory card for my camera, one day before I was telling I forgot to bring an additional one and made me so happy to receive such new :)||Finally, my cabin was perfect for a solo traveller, with all the amenities to ensure a nice rest after spending the whole day in the park: cozy bed, hot shower, wifi, AC, mini desk and your balcony to chill out. Also you can enjoy the common areas like the dining room and the different open spaces used for dinner. ||As I told Vijaybhan, thanks to all Bagh Tola team for your contribution to enrich my personal memories!!
Stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas. Visited with 8 family members and we had a terrific stay. ||You visit here first and foremost for wildlife and on that front we were slightly unlucky. Some unseasonal downpours hamstrung our 2 of our 4 safari drives & only half our group saw a tiger. While that was disappointing, the fact that the entire group still left raving about Bagh Tola tells you everything you need to know. ||Firstly, the food here is exceptional. At this calibre of accomodation, good food is a given but this is several notches above that. Bagh Tola could genuinely market itself on the basis of its culinary experience alone. The chef are really creative - even the packed lunches had flavour combinations I've never seen before. Every dish demonstrated real finesse and a real lightness of touch. Top notch||Equally, the tents are excellent. All tastefully furnished, lovely showers with sufficient hot water, generous filtered water is provided and overall an incredibly comfortable stay.||The team running the property are very professional and organising our visit was straightforward. They organised collection for us from Jabalpur airport (with beautiful snacks awaiting us in the car!) and the onward to Khajuraho. Everything ran smoothly ||Last but certainly not least is the nature based element. This is first and foremost a safari lodge and on that front it also delivers. The two great in-house naturalists really bonded with our group. Special shout out to Yash whose enthusiasm is infectious. His impromptu walking tours around the property were a highlight. Anyone can get excited about a tiger but it's invigorating when someone can make you excited about a small insect, or a tree or an owl. The property itself is in the process of a hugely interesting rewilding journey - props to the owners and their team for the thoughtful work their doing. The world would be a better place if more people did likewise. ||This is a rather long review but I wanted to try and capture something of our stay. Ultimately, you come here, and to Bandhavgarh generally, for tigers. That's understandable but to focus on that alone would be to miss so much. Staying here was a wonderful experience.
