Orchha Resort

This is not a 4 star hotel as advertised. The location of the resort is good and one of the only few ones adjacent to the river. The parking area is good and so are the lawns, garden and a temple in the compound. The swimming pool is decent sized too. Also in very close proximity are the royal 'Chhatris' and the 'Ghat'. The only issue with us was the rooms which were worst designed with stale smell and AC placement at the middle of the ceiling which would cool half the room while leaving the other half not so cool. The staff changed the room too but it was the same. Had to check out earlier than scheduled instead of continuing in the gutter smelling room.

Honestly, my expectations weren't even all that high but this place is a wonderful experience to live. The riverside dining, vast lawns, really polite and respectful service, well maintained rooms and an overall satisfying escapade to Orchha were enough to lift up my spirits. I'd suggest you all to visit this resort.

Five Star property where I find peace and I prefer only this place whenever I visit Orchha . This is situated on the banks of River Betwa and is just 5 mints drive from Raja Ram Mandir. We were allotted room before our check in time at our special request. We were also offered welcome drinks. Food which we ordered was also good . Swimming pool is just icing on the cake which is divided into two for children's and for adults also . The inner peace which I get here can't be described in words. Services were prompt. The Room which we got this time was near Reception, avoid it as children of new guests make a lot of noise and gets your sleep disturbed . The lock of the door was not working , however it was fixed soon. Complimentary Breakfast was average. Rest No complaints. Amazing view you get from here . Highly recommended. Highly

We stayed at this hotel in preference to another one which was some distance from the heart of Orchha and its attractions, restaurants, shops etc. It's location next to the river and town is lovely. The view of the cenotaphs at night is beautiful- they are right at the hotel gate. The foyer is lovely with beautiful marble inlaid floors - in fact the same floors are in the rooms too. The rooms themselves are comfortable including the bed. We enjoyed the pool and surroundings too. The food was satisfactory but not as good as we have had elsewhere. A group of school students were there for our final night and they were very noisy till very late at night. Staff were helpful. The spa was excellent- especially the facial treatment.

My visit at Orchha riverside resort was a mixed bag. The riverside view was stunning, but it came with a mosquito infestation , during evening, that was hard to ignore. The biggest letdowns were the exorbitant prices and poorly maintained toilets that reeked of stagnation. Overall, the resort's natural beauty was overshadowed by its shortcomings.

I had a wonderful and comfortable stay with family at Orchha Resort on 9th January 2024. The location is absolutely excellent, making it convenient to explore the nearby attractions. The staff, especially the restaurant team, were extremely helpful, attentive, and always went the extra mile to ensure a memorable experience. Their hospitality truly stood out. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, providing a perfect blend of comfort and relaxation. The food at the restaurant was delicious, offering a variety of options to cater to different tastes. Overall, my stay was delightful, and I would highly recommend Orchha Resort to anyone visiting the area. It's an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful and enjoyable getaway!

I didn't stay there. During my orchha site seeing trip I went there for lunch in their dining room. When me and my wife entered along with my driver nobody told me anything. When I ask for the menu to order then the restaurant manager told me the place was booked for marriage party and as was not an invited member I was not allowed to eat there. We went to sish mahal and had our lunch. A very bad part of the manegment. They should put a board outside that entry prohibited for the outsiders. I felt very much insulted. It was clean, nicely maintained, food was good and location was excellent. 10 min walk to the temple, right next to cenotaphs that lit up at night.
