Hotel Pratap Palace

stayed there for one night. quite a good place. staff was friendly. room was clean. hot water was easily available. didn't use the swimming pool or any other recreational facilities, so no comment on that. the restaurant in the hotel has good food at reasonable price. only down side: no room service from the restaurant. (although, the waiter did make an exception and sent the desserts in our room!).||My driver says his dorm was also decent. ||best part is that it is within walking distance from the Keoladeo Ghana park.||||would recommend this if you need a hotel mainly to sleep.

This hotel is in the middle of the city. Tourists who stay here can visit the nearby market.

I stayed there was 6 days as a part of my rural immersion visit. Being December it was chilly in the mornings & nights but cool the other times. Although the place looks very unappealing from outside it is not a bad place to stay with the restaurant serving acceptable food. Hot water available in a bucket on demand, helpful staff and options of either an A/C or Cooler room. Only the bathroom was in not a very good shape, but in small cities you cannot expect much. So all in all you can stay here for a few days without any issues.

This is an average hotel, but indeed a good one for the small town it is located in. The room tariff is small too - under INR 1000 a night. Narsinghpur is the headquarters of the district of the same name, located on the Calcutta-Mumbai rail route. By road the place is about 80 km from nearest big city Jabalpur. The hotel is located in the center of the town. The room size is good and they clean and change sheets everyday. The rooms have airconditioner, ceiling fan, television set and an intercom telephone. Internet connection not available. It is a residential hotel only - no restaurant available. One has to go out to nearby small shops to buy breakfast. However, an enterprising gentleman provides room service with home made food for dinner for a nominal price. A guest only has to request the hotel manager to contact this gentleman. Similarly, the hotel front desk intimates a laundry person who does his job at a real nominal price. Overall, a good and perhaps the only respectable hotel in this town. The only negative side is the outside noise due to shops and lousy motor vehicles.

Hotel pratap place is the one of the oldest hotel of Narsinghpur city, The location of the Hotel is also the very rich but due to lack of proper maintenance it is becoming old in the Hotel's race but overall it is a fine option to stay in emergency because rooms are safe & clean & all the basic necessities can be find near the hotel. Just one thing you will not find here late-night is the food but you can order online before 11 pm. So overall you can consider here to stay.

We stayed at Pratap Palace on advice of our driver - I would recommend strongly to avoid this. ||||We experienced very gruff and aggressive responses from the staff, who also tried to overcharge us, during which they withheld our passports. In addition the service was awful. The water did not work at all in our room, and also we saw a rat in the dining room.||||We had a fantastic time in Bharatpur itself, and would definitely recommend to visit the area, but to choose another location to stay overnight.

As hotel was full, the manager took me to another hotel where he tried to sell me the room for just double the price. Manager here is not at all trust worthy, if he is trying to help you consider he is doing some scam, can't comment on hotels sercices. But experience with manager was horrifying.

It's not really modern considering the interior it's average. They stay is not so comfortable but it's not a bad place to stay. It's an affordable place for a middle class family. Ambience is average. Overall rating is 3/5
