Kanha Pride Resort

Stayed with friends for the new year eve. Rooms are big and 3 bedded. Can easily accomodate 4-5 adults. We were a group of 8 and got only 2 rooms. Rooms do not have running hot water but the staff was very prompt to arrange it on request. New year party was nice with a big bonfire and music followed by a midnight dinner. Proprietor Akhilesh and manager Mishra were very courteous and took good care of us. Our visit to the kanha national park also was very exciting as we could spot the tiger and it was with us for more than 10 minutes.

We wanted to stay close to the entrance of the national park and feel the closeness to nature so we (Me and 4 friend) checked in at Kanha Pride Resort, which is literally 5 mins drive from the world famous tiger reserve. The Manager (Mr. Thakur) is a very welcoming and helpful person. He helped us to secure safari tickets at the last minute and also arranged for delicious food to be served. At night we heard tiger roars near the resort , however the resort is well compound is well secured so there was no reason to worry. There is plenty of free parking available. Next morning we were woken up by a courtesy call for safari and light breakfast, tea/ coffee was served. Mr. Thakur had also arranged for a Maruti Gypsy (an open 4x4 safari vehicle) for our safari. We had nothing to worry about. Luckily we saw a female tigress (near district line) on the same safari, and she gave us head on shots. Since we were visiting for photography, it was crucial to spot the big cat and getting head on shot was like icing on the cake! A well packed breakfast basket with plenty of water and a Vacuum flask (thermos) full of tea was kept in the safari vehicle. When we made a pit stop during our early morning safari , the delicious breakfast enhanced our safari experience very much.

Stayed for 3 days with 5 of my office colleagues, This Resort people provided us help in reaching till the destination over phone and once we reached had a good reception. The best part is its cheap fares (3500+ per day ) with the services provided no less than a classy hotel. Though we couldnt find the tiger on our booked safari, they helped us get the tatkal (spot booking) on the next day.Got few things like bonfire, yummy desi chicken in paddy fields arranged minutes after our order. We were taken to tribal dance shows and their villages ( would recommend not to miss at any cost) during nights. Though there is no swimming pool , on our request were taken to near by resort (not any extra charges :P). ||The bottomline is " cheap resort and good comforts "||||P.S. The 3 days were not enough to experience all in here KANHA and will see you soon again KANHA.

I have stayed in low and high stays. Right from lodging and boarding to five star resorts. The stay at Kanha pride has been the worst in a lifetime of mine. They made us stay in the staff quarters as the owner had taken other reservations directly due to his greed. We had paid for the all meals package and then the owner comes to us and tells us that we have to pay additional as they have decided to revise the menu price cart. How can you do that? The water from the flooring in the bathroom will come sprinting up during utilisation. The bathroom lenin and the room lenin smells so horribly that one will feel like its better to sleep on the floor. The worst stay of my lifetime. Please aviod, specially family guest.

We had booked the resort via makemytrip. Our experience was as under:|1. The owner refused to give us room saying that we have not recd any payments from makemytrip. On a heated up arguments and several calls to customer care of makemytrip was when we were guided to our room. |2. Our first night was spend in a staff quarters as they had done overbooking and extraded money from innocent guest like us.|3. Next day after several complaints and fight with management we were guided to a guest room. |4. There was no hot water in the bathroom. Infact there was water springing up from the floor of the bathroom. |5. Inspite of our all meal package they charged us for meals dirextly at the resort. |A pathetic excuse for a resort. Worst experience of a lifetime. |Stay away!!!!|

I had visited Kanha on Jan 14th. And stayed here for a night.. the resort is one of the few budget options available near mukki gate...rooms are spacious... the hospitality was great and the food was also good... Would definitely recommend this place if you plan a stay in mukki.. the resort is very close to mukki gate (around 3km) as well... Definitely going back !!!

Thus place is poor for family. They have no respect for guest. Their owner will speak to you as if he is doing a big obligation by issuing you rooms which you have paid for. The rooms are pathetic. No hot water. Leaking in bathrooms. The water from under floor in bathroom springing up. Once u ha e paid for all meals packages they will try all ways to derive more money by saying lame things like we don't put get charges in that. Chard charges are additional.

kanha pride resort is one of cheap resort in kanha national park (mukki gate) . the service is nice and specially the food has its own local taste . the room is very large, even 5 people can stay together , if you are looking for the cheap option its the best. its very near to the mukki gate
