Maihar Heritage Palace ( Kila )

It is a fantastic building and worth visiting due lack of staff and finance things are not maintained. But staff and Maharaj sahab is very cooperative. I will prefer this building should be promoted.

People here do not allow people to go inside and say that this place is restricted by the government and they misbehave with people.

Maihar Heritage Palace is located at Maihar in Madhya Pradesh. It is a 600 year old princely palace of the erstwhile Rajput rulers of India. Previously managed by the Royal family, the management has since been taken over by Kulkriti Heritage Palaces and Club. A nice and decent place to stay especially while traveling and looking for good hospitality. Maa Sharda temple is approx 7kms and a must visit to seek the blessings of the almighty. Nice rooms and homely environment. Not much expensive. Food is good. Overall a good experience.

Room was good but there was no T.V. There is no reception counter, taken one thali of dinner but charged for two saying two people have eaten. There was no service like hotel. And the interesting thing is that it was a prepaid booking the hotel owner was asking for amount to pay. When we have given call to the stayzilla and sended one copy of voucher to his mail id then it is resolved. Need to improve.

Great palace. Although it has grown old it retains the signs of grandeurs of the by gone era. Hospitality was very apt to a royal guest. Do take a tour of the entire palace with the maid. It is mesmerizing to see the various ramparts. One is left to imagine the pomp and gaiety of the bygone regal era. Must visit.

Good food. Spacious big rooms. Calm environment. Pollution free surroundings. But, Rooms are unclean, old furniture, bathroom are also not clean.

Facilities r avg here, as the old palace is still under renovation. The hospitality from the staff is good and warm. Only two room r AVL currently which r in good shape. Staff is very limited. Food is homely and good. Overall nice stay
