Hotel Gulzar

Although building of the hotel appears good outwardly, from inside it is in a very shabby condition. The rooms are smelly and dirty. Bed sheets and towels are also dirty and smelly. Staff is cooperative but manager is crook and money minded. Even at the rate of Rs. 4500/- he refused to give dental kit. No facility provided along with the room. For everything you have to pay extra money . Even the manager refused to run Air conditioners at common areas during marriage function and asked to pay extra hefty amount. Crockery used in hotel is of cheap plastic and are stained. Although they are running their business in the name of hospitality business but they do not know the ABC of hospitality. Once you paid advance for booking for some occasion they will charge hefty amount on each add on. Pls avoid this hotel for marriage functions as you will be trapped and exploited at every step.

Hotel Gulzar Towers - Nice hospitality, worth a stay Gulzar provides a reasonably cosy accommodation in congested, high traffic artery. Not exactly a tower, but still pretty well managed. We booked for outstation visitors; previewed a bunch of Super Deluxe rooms and Suites. The housekeeping is very good, at a competitive price point. They've either done selective renovations (renovated room but not bathroom or vice versa) or tidied the impact of poor guest etiquette (hotel guests increasingly have the money but not the manners). Well, our visiting family was very pleased with the service. The ladies especially mentioned exquisite problem solving skills of Biplav, on night desk - stretching into mid-morning. Breakfast service was prompt and worth availing. Staff very courteous and well spoken. Lobby decor appealing. In-property parking space for 15-18 cars and security arrangements at gate. Overall, a centrally located stopover in bustling part of Jabalpur. This stretch of road has medians; West-bound access requires U turn. Potential navigating hazard for weary travelers Note: This hotel does not have a website, and partnering travel sites unjustly keep recommending other properties. Something Gulzar management might want to address

I have booked this hotel for my wedding and below are some points that can help others to make their decision. Pros- Food, Ambience and Decoration Cons- Service- Decorations and the setup of the event for early morning were delayed because the setup was not completed. Staff: Hotel service staff will ask for a tip to all the guest and members which seems inappropriate. Also we have kept some sweets a day before the function which was misplaced by the hotel staff and later when we asked for refund or resolution they just ignored. Management- People for the event management are also not credible, at the time of booking they will say yes to everything but soon before the event they will say you can't do this and that. Also an important note, please clarify the invoice related thing because later they don't provide and ask for extra amount and if you need any documentation on the proof for the fact that your Marraige had happened at their hotel, the management people will ask for paying the extra GST amount which clearly they won't mention at the start.

Good hotel with premier location. Room service is excellent. On my request they also packed the dinner nicely for onward journey. However hotel needs to improve on maintenance. There is no swimming pool in the hotel. They can also provide iron box on request if needed.

Yesterday I visited Gulzar tower for dinner. On contacting reception and enquired about where is their restaurant. I was told to visit adjoining restaurant the chimney kitchen on reaching I found it was a veg. restaurant. I again came back to reception to enquire about their non veg restaurant. They said that as their restaurant attached to hotel is very slow service so they suggested to visit adjoining place. It was a horrible experience. Reception people should have clearly mentioned all these when I first visit.
