Townhouse 135 Gandhi Hall

We needed a room just to crash for the day after a hectic sleepless night in Ujjain, so we were looking for a budget accommodation. The location of the hotel was good but the rooms were not up to the mark. We found strange paint smell coming from the rooms and bedsheets also looked dull. We had to change two rooms till we found a room where the smell was little less. I would say the hotel staff were quite accommodating regarding this and served us well. One thing to note, the menu served here is pure veg, so might not be suitable for non-veg lovers.

I checked in at 9pm wanted to check out at 5am. Yet no price compensation. Room bedcovers were really dirty even if washed did not give good appearance. Room service- had to insist multiple times to change bed covers on which food spill was there but staff denied saying untruthfully that they have recently changed. Cockroach is an issue and cleanliness is as well. Out of 4 rooms I saw only 1 had proper cleaning. Floor 3 is directly on roof and seems like a lost place. Floor 2 is better but room cleaning is not there. Ground floor is average of both. No hot water and no connection to telephone. They say there is telephone but it doesn't work! I wanted to bath but couldn't because of unavailability of staff round the clock. Even staff doesn't care to drop off at right place. Coupons don't apply unless you are away from hotel. Oyo townhouse and hotel aarambh are same. Posting for g4 room in photos as experienced. Not including washroom not worth it. Only good point is accessibility from railway station and near by hotels cost yet more.

Location was very good near to station.Rooms are very big and spacious. Also maintain good hygeine. We had a good comfortable stay.

It was an amazing stay at this hotel. Neat and clean room, hot water, ac cooling, good food, working TV, nearby station and sarvate bus stand.

Overall experience was good since the location of the hotel is at very centre of indore, walkable distance for top attractions of indore like Sarafa Bazar and 56 Dukaan. Slightly disappointed with the Maintenance of the rooms, taps are faulty.

It is a nice hotel if you want to stay near Indore railway station. When i stayed there, the room was neat and clean. But there were issues with the a.c. But considering the price and the location it is a good place to stay in.

Booked this hotel last minute on the same day, for a price of 1,328 which I found to be very reasonable for a well located, spacious room. But that's pretty much where it ends. The rooms are spacious but definitely far from well maintained. The moment I entered, there was a strong smell of damp walls due to humidity. Even though the room was clean, I could tell that it wasn't maintained very well through object like the telephone and other unassuming corners collecting dust, which did end up triggering my dust allergy. The chipping of the damp walls is a serious problem and really makes it appear to be a very cheap hotel. Yes, cheaper than 1,300. The washroom is decent enough to not gag but it's nothing that will make you spend a second more after you're done with your business in there. Overall, the hotel is very centrally located and has decent enough rooms for the price, but I believe that no amount of price gives you the right to offer an unmaintained and unhygienic room.
