Hotel The Residency

Hotel is at good location. I have faced a problem that I want to share. I booked a room for two days for 14 &15th October through Agoda on advance payment@3200/ per day. On arrival I came to know that Agoda is no way authorised, moreover though full paynent was made no message was given to hotelier about my booking . I was refused to check in. Only after assurance of payment I was allowed by the hotelier. After continuous effort of more than thirty minutes I able to contact customer care. Finally they release 2500/ to the hotelier for day one. I have to pay another 500/- for 1st day stay. For 2nd day the hotelier demaned full amount. After prolonged arguments and cooperation from the hotelier Agoda agreed to return 2nd days fare.

This is the worst experience of a hotel that I had. The hotel shows some luxury images and facilities on website but upon reaching there, none of those facilities are available. Still the hotel charges a lumsum amount of money. It shows something and provides something completely different and worse. The behavior of the staff and manager is very bad. We booked a deluxe room, but only one towel is available in the name of deluxe room. There is no soap, shampoo, water bottle, the intercom and tv doesn't work. There is huge problem for ordering food also. We constantly had to go downstairs, to place order. There is seldom anyone available at the reception. We had to constantly call some attendant to answer our problems, still no solution. The attendant keeps transferring the calls to some other person who isn't present/available in the hotel, which comes as an added problem. This hotel is not worth the price at all. The mental agony and irritation faced is huge.

Rooms were very gloomy and especially the house owner needs to learn some ethics

Dear Travellers/Pilgrims, Narmade Harh Keep patience, search more accurately before choosing this hotel. Since here is many options to stay. This is a high price tag hotel and here is no compromise for long stay (stayed 5 nights). It's having high measured and highest valued "terms and conditions" . It's well covered by magical luxury and situated at benefited location. Need average walking, back and forth towards temple/bathing/fooding. Including well behaved staff and receptionist, costly average taste food, high priced water bottle (than MRP) e.g. single piece PURI cost 24 INR without sabji, don't be confused it's not deep fried with pure Ghee, just oil fry . However many other hotels/dharamsala are also situated nearby location of main temple. So request to come here if you have no other option. 2200/night (long stay) might have / apologies on my following day-dreaming expected points (since expectations leads disappointment ) 1. water bottle/drinking water in room on check in. this is a sincere manner/basic moral whereas many cheapest hotel provides normal drinking water poured in jug. 2. For long stay expecting interchanging fresh towel. 3. Toilet freshener. 4. Electric kettle (considering luxury; but here I've got furniture, tv unit, wardrobe with 1 hanger, useless hanger on room 103 door). 5. Proper cleaning of spiderwebs on wall, window curtains. I don't know her name but whoever was at the reception welcomed and treated us politely. Rooms were cleaned, heigenic and a attached balcony. Rooms also had a mini refrigerator. It is also located at nearest tourists attractions like:- Shree Yantra Mandir ,Narmada udgam temple ,Ancient kalachuri temple etc. If anyone want a good budget hotel in amarkantak, this hotel will be the best option. If I will get a chance to visit amarakntak again I will blindly book this hotel.

The Residency is a good hotel / Home Stay. It has almost all the modern facilities like Tea/Coffee Maker, Daikin A/C, nice view of the balcony with all greenery around. One of the rooms also had a Mini Refrigerator(Room 201). Room 201 and 202 is recommended for family purpose as it has a nice connecting door between them (although it can be locked from both sides separately). The hotelier had a very warm and nice behavior. The car parking is just outside the hotel premises on the road itself but we didn't face any problem. One major problem we faced is the POWERCUT for about 3 hours as we checked in. There is no Generator/DG Set in the hotel so none of the appliances were running except one tube light in the room with the INVERTER. The Hotelier said that DG Set will be installed in next month (August 2017). We visited from Raipur by car in July 16-18 , 2017. We got a very good support from Goibibo during some issues regarding Power Supply. Thank you Goibibo for support.

I won't even give 1 star to this Hotel !! Because : 1. The lady who was sitting in the reception was very rude to us. Zero hospitality !! 2. They didn't provide us with any of the basic amenities. No soaps, shampoos, paste, etc. 3. TV and Fridge weren't working. They were just for a display. 4. The bedsheet and towels were dirty. 5. They didn't provide us with food initially. After repeated requests they served us, but that didn't taste good, quality was also bad. 6. They charged us a lot for the food and water. The MRP of the water bottle was only 18/- but they unreasonably charged us Rs.25/- for those. 7. We had booked a room for 2 days initially but cancelled it for the 2nd day, 2 days prior but they didn't refund a single penny.
