Faultless! This hotel is designed and run with a responsibility for the environment. Traditional materials and techniques went in to its construction. It is run in a sustainable manner, zero waste or plastic, guest amenities are all recyclable and yet, as is often the case, this adherence to a better world does not compromise the experience as a fortunate guest. Despite it only being a small number of villas, the staff operated as concierge in advance and tour guides when staying. The restaurant is vegetarian and also adhering to sourcing ingredients from the local community. Chef Singh is enthusiastic, experienced and loves his craft. His fine dining multi course dining experience is one of the best vegetarian meals I've ever eaten. As a veggie, the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner is exciting and delicious. Everything is reasonably priced and great value. Look no further, this is the hotel for you. Happy days, yummy food!

Dolkhar was the perfect base for our friends' getaway to Leh! The property is super aesthetic--earthy tones, beautiful Ladakhi architecture, and cozy vibes all around. It felt boutique and luxe without being over the top, and the setting made it easy to just chill and take in the mountain views between our adventures. The rooms were spacious enough for all our stuff (and chaos), and the staff made us feel like we were at a home away from home--always helpful, full of local tips, and really friendly. The food was a big highlight--everything fresh, flavorful, and locally sourced. We had long breakfasts and late-night catch-ups under the stars, which made the trip even more memorable.
