Tunduk Hostel

Highly recommend Tunduk hostel!! The hosts are what makes this place really special - Azema is so helpful and will take the time to sit down and help you plan your trip over a map, and Baitur is a really friendly presence around the hostel. When one of our group became unexpectedly ill, Azema was really flexible and accomodating, checking in with us daily, it was really comforting to know someone else was looking out for us. The hostel itself has a lot of charm, space and great hangout areas. Good vibes all round!!

Really great hostel, we stayed in multiple in Bishkek and this was the best by far in terms of social aspects. There were lots of other travellers there. They have loads of tours on offer and information about Bishkek. The staff are really helpful with suggesting places to eat and drink and even to fix my shoes! Bathrooms and rooms were always very clean, and the duvet on the bed in the yurt were very warm. We were put in the yurt dorm outside which was super cosy, not cold at all. My only wish would be that the beds in the yurt had Curtains on the bunks, because I believe the ones inside the hostel have. The kitchen is really well equipped with pots and pans and even has an oven. It is a little far from the centre of town but easy and cheap to yandex to anywhere.

Very nice hostel, they provide you with everything: tours, information, whatsapp contact, they are always ready to help you. You can go here without preparing your trip to Kyrgystan and they will help you arrange everything! ~15 minutes by taxi to the center, but you can just use Yandex Go and book a taxi for 2 euros

What I love most about this hostel is that it truly feels like home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff makes sure you're comfortable at all times. It's a great place to meet people from around the world. Definitely a top choice for travelers looking for a friendly and comfortable stay!

After 4 years of full-time traveling, I've come across hostels that truly feel like a home away from home -- unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. There's a 1000 som fine if you spill water outside the shower, an extra charge if you want to leave your backpack after check-out, and another fee if you'd like to stay and relax in the common areas while waiting for a late flight. Thankfully, the kind women at reception let us stay a few extra hours for free -- but only because it was off-season -- and we still ended up spending 10 hours at the airport waiting for our flight. The rooms were clean, but the mattress was completely worn out with a dip in the middle. The shared bathrooms were clean, which was nice, but for 2200 som per night, I expected a bit more -- especially considering the hostel is a bit far from the city center (though buses run regularly). Besides the friendly women working at the front desk, the rest of the staff felt pretty grumpy and unwelcoming. I'm not sure if that's just a cultural thing or specific to this place, but either way, I wouldn't choose to stay at Tunduk Hostel again if I return to Kyrgyzstan.

I would love to stay here again when I visit Kyrgyzstan next time. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the beds were spaced at a comfortable distance. It felt like staying at a family home. I also appreciated the separate floors and the well-equipped kitchen. My stay was very comfortable. Thank you to everyone I met here <3

I stayed here 9 nights total. Very comfortable hostel, great to meet people and relax here for a few days. It is clean, quiet, the location is good in my opinion. There are supermarkets and cheap restaurants nearby, you can also cook in the kitchen. You can leave your luggage here until you go on a trek to other parts of Kyrgyzstan. The pool is a great addition! The owners are very friendly, speak perfect English, and by far it's the only hostel I've been to in Central Asia where they also provide any travel information and also help you book bus tickets.

Very social and cool hostel! The owners are so friendly and helpful with travel planning or any other needs! They also have a pool which is quite nice as it can be quite hot in Bishkek. I really enjoyed the stay!
