"King House" hotel

Based on the promotional price I paid via Agoda.com I am satisfied with the stay. The location is very good and the interior, though in need of sizable maintenance throughout, was pleasant. The only negatives worth mentioning are that the towels smelt quite bad, and no bathroom tissue was present. Aside from these points, the staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Ok. So where to start?|Not as advertised |No gym|No massage|Sauna extra 1500 som. Minimum 2 hours. Ropey plungpool|Billiards included.|No bar.|2 fridges one doesn't work, over. priced limited choice.|Pool nice when full, turns to green within a few days then is empty. |Water doesn't always work in the room.|Shower has no pressure when working.|Staff are ok quite friendly.|Breakfast. I wanted at 7am. 50 % of the time I had to wake up staff who were sleeping under the stairs. Normal recieved at 9ish.|Room was not serviced in 10 days. I had to put out my own rubbish. |Trains very loud behind the hotel. At first thought a plane was crashing!|Was ok for a Kyrgyzstan hotel just wish it was as advertised. |

No idea how they got so many good reviews. The hygiene is abysmal, but lets say you are minimalistic and clean yourself. You still wont be able to sleep because the hotel is literally right next to train tracks with constant loud trains passing. If you are fine with the noise too, please also prepare for horrid smell, as there is a garbage disposal facility on the other side. I kid you not, the location is comically bad. They charge 3000 som a night or 2000 if you are 'a regular'. They wont clean your room, but you get one role of toilet paper (the cheap one layer kind) per week. They offer a breakfast for an extra charge, and it is as bad as you could imagine. There are some pretty good high class hotels for 3000 som. Try the hotel gold dragon. Same price, 5 star room. If they got more expensive by the time you are reading this, there are others. But yeah, absolutely no reason to come to this place unless you hate yourself or want to book a place for your worst enemy.

What a surprise, large room, large bed and bathroom, lovely pool and breakfast was delicious. There are stairs to get to rooms,small balcony could see amazing mountains in background. For a 3 star hotel just what we needed and staff so helpful. It's about 21/2 km from city centre,easy walk and in a back street so quiet and reasonable price

When you arrive after a long journey hoping for a hot shower and get few drops of cold water (soap on, of course) and surprised staff unwilling to cooperate. 4 rooms - same story. We experienced a lot more hospitality and comfort in yurts, off-grid in the outback then in this capital hotel.

My husband and I were booked into the hotel as part of a tour. Their website suggests that is a VIP hotel but it is merely a budget hotel. The pictures on the website are very misleading. ||||We were placed in a room next to the kitchen, which also happened to be the staff hangout so between the staff chatting all night and the noise of breakfast being prepared early in the morning, we got no sleep. The room had not been cleaned properly from the previous tenants as the toilet was dirty, there were used tissues everywhere and long dark hairs all over the shower and basin areas. We were supplied just one towel for two people for two days. The was no daily room cleaning. The room itself had an odd chemical smell to it. The hydronic heater in the bathroom could not be switched off so we had to run the aircon at all times to keep the room at a bearable temperature. ||||Breakfast was just OK. The service was slow. We were offered a limited range of options. I opted for the porridge which was edible.

+ pool + large room + breakfast buffet + clean room and bathroom + fresh smelling sheets - located next to the railroad tracks. Trains woke me up 6 times during the night - location is quite far off centre and in a little shady area - lack of water pressure in the shower - no bedside lights - bad tasting instant coffee at breakfast

nice reception, (helpful) clean, big room, private parking available, swimming pool, air conditionner, the breakfast was in Kirghiz style but tasty possibility to wash and Iron your clothes. only one problem the train line is just behind the hotel and is noizy in the night
