Guest House Crocus

This guesthouse is difficult to find out easily. No outside signs showing the name of the place. Considered as good and cheap. Good room and bathroom for reasonable price. No other service here. Can't find towels as well but good there is hot water. Small fridge and air condition. Had to stay few hours to catch my late flight. So my guide suggested me this place. Few minutes walk you can find supermarket and pharmacy.

had a lovely stay at this cozy guesthouse! the owners are incredibly helpful and nice. our hot water ran out and they unexpectedly fixed it right away. the rooms are really comfortable. really sad to hear that they've sold the guesthouse and will be taken over by someone else because the couple are so friendly

We stayed here for five nights on our way in and out of Kyrgyzstan. Each time we had a very pleasant stay. It is true the place is hard to find the first time around but Zoya's hospitality more than makes up for it. The Chuy Hospital, as has been mentioned, is a good landmark, and it is only a short two block walk from there to the house. The house is 10 min taxi from the centre in a pleasant suburban neighborhood which makes for an interesting side to Bishkek.||||The rooms are clean, sunny, ac and hot water work well as well as the wifi. Breakfast is included and is generally eggs, tomatoes, bread, cheese, salami, juice, coffee, tea and cake. We payed $50 for a double room that had a queen bed.||||After two weeks in Kyrgyzstan staying in a variety of places we can really recommend this one. Zoya is very welcoming and will make you feel at home. She recommended lots of laces, welcomed us with tea and biscuits and on our last day let us check out very late. More than anything she was just an extremely friendly woman.

I stayed in this hostel in July 2012. It was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Free Wifi included. It is a little difficult fo find. The owner of Zoe is very nice and helpful. They can arrange tours to Issyk Kul and ALA Arca. I would recommend to stay here. I hope I can get back in this beautiful location in the near future.||||Uli (Stuttgart, Germany)

The guest house is located away from the town center in a residential area making it a good place if you do not want to stay in town. However, the difficulty of finding the guest house seems to be a consistent shortcoming and perhaps better direction can be provided. The Chuyskiy Hospital is two streets south of the guest house (5 minute walk). Although we had GPS to guide us, it took us a while and only with the help of our companion who vaguely remember its location relative to the hospital.||||Compared to other properties in Bishkek, this is not an expensive place (double about us$60). The lady owner made us feel welcomed. There was nothing fancy about our room but we only needed a place for the night. Air-conditioning and hot shower all worked well. The room was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast (see photo) was good with cold cuts, cold boiled eggs and an apple pie.

The owner family is extremely helpful and virtual. I have them my pickup time from airport and the husband and wife were there before time at 4:30 in the morning. And trust me it's not easy in a shivering morning in Bishkek. For any support, they are coming ahead. I need the smallest of things, they are there. And when I'm making my route plan for the next destination, they have helped me a lot The whole house is very clean. And it's a lovely serene place

Great host Zoya Anatolyevna. ||Rooms are clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast. ||Nice guest house for foreign tourists - staff accept dollars and rubles, there are a lot of foreign-language books about Kyrgyzstan in the hall. ||Cons - a bit far from the center, but there is very cheap taxi (2-3 $ to center) in Bishkek. And there is bus stop ($ 0.2 to the center) close to Hotel. You can walking about 20 minutes to the city center.||TV did not work, but we do not use it at all.||||Taxi drivers do not know where it is. Good landmark - "Chuiskiy Hospital". Be careful - Sovetsvkaya Street consists of two parts - the right is the eastern part.

We arrived on a very wet and dull day after an overnight flight. Soaked from our cycle from the airport, we were instantly welcomed by Zoja who brought us complimentary cake and coffee. A perfect welcome from a wonderful host!||||The rooms were clean, a good size and comfortable with wifi in the room. Breakfast was great.||||Zoja could not have been more helpful with advice on getting around Bishkek, what to see and where to go. I highly recommend staying here. Note that it is a good walk from the centre although the bus is easy enough to catch and Zoja will gladly help you find your way here.
