We had a great stay at Nature's Castle Resort in Vattavada. The two-bedroom accommodation was comfortable and offered a beautiful setting with stunning views of the surrounding scenery. The resort itself is a beautifully maintained old wooden house with all the modern amenities you could ask for. The food was delicious. Positives: Wonderful Location: The property is situated in a beautiful location surrounded by nature, offering breathtaking views and a truly refreshing climate. Tranquil Atmosphere: The area is calm and peaceful, making it a great place for those looking to unwind and escape the noise of the city. Privacy: With private parking and a secluded setup, it offers a good amount of privacy. Heritage Touch: The traditional heritage-style rooms add charm and character, giving guests a taste of local architecture and culture. Negatives: Not a True Resort: This is more of a homestay-style setup rather than a full-fledged resort. The facilities and services are not in line with what one would expect from a resort. Poor Accessibility: The last 4 km stretch to the property has no proper roads--expect a rough ride and potential off-road challenges. Room Conditions: The cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms need urgent attention. Bugs and small flying insects inside the rooms were a frequent issue. Overpriced for What's Offered: Despite charging more than nearby 3-star or 4-star resorts, the service and housekeeping were below standard. Understaffed: There were only 2-3 staff members for the entire property, and they lacked professional training. Lack of Dining Options: There is no in-house restaurant, and the nearby options are limited. A qualified chef is essential. Dog Safety Concerns: The presence of 2-3 dogs on the property may appeal to some, but they tend to roam freely, sometimes waiting around guests for food. This can be a potential safety issue, especially for families with children. Suggestions for Improvement: 1. Improve housekeeping and overall cleanliness of rooms and surrounding areas. 2. Hire a professional chef and establish a reliable in-house dining option. 3. Enhance guest experience by adding activities or leisure facilities like a pool, nature trails, or indoor games. 4. Improve road connectivity or at least inform guests in advance and offer assistance. 5. Train the staff or increase manpower to offer prompt, professional service. 6. Better manage the pets/dogs on the premises to ensure guest safety and comfort.

The rooms are decent and well-maintained, offering a great view from the property. The outdoor premises are nicely kept, and the area is calm and peaceful. The owner and staff provide excellent hospitality. However, the only drawbacks were the food options and the road access near the property.

The place and the scenery from the resort are beautiful. The staff are also very helpful. The only downside is that only jio and bsnl has rage here. The wifi is from Kerala's vision, so expect downtime and slow speed. Electricity is mostly from solar panels, so there were vaultage fluctuations at night, which we won't probably notice because it's super cold. The heater helps to reduce the coldness of water only by little.
