Varkala Marine Palace

The room of the hotel was extraordinary. It was richly decorated. We could see clear view of the mind-blowing ocean and hear the sound of the great waves. The washroom was very clean.The open air part of the toilet was really a memorable experience for me.The chairs were very well arranged. There was also a kitchen providing a fridge , an electric cattle ,trays, cups,spoons,plates etc. The food was excellent both the dinner and breakfast. The quality of the room was really impressive. The staff are really soft spoken. Great experience indeed.

The location is absolutely great. Beach side and close to the main cliff. Room facilities can be better but not much to complain. They have a restaurant in their premises by the beach but we didn't try it.

Stayed in Marine Palace for 10 nights, had a deluxe room with a seating area overlooking lush tropical gardens with a view of the Arabian Sea in the distance. This is the only hotel on the beach in Varkala, and we swam nearly everyday in the warm sea. Check for red flags as some days there can be a strong undercurrent at different times. It was touching to see the Hindu ceremonies with floral tributes put in the sea. We were well looked after by the very attentive staff in the restaurant which has a fanatic view over the beach and sea, overseen by the friendly owner Bhashkar and assisted by the superb hotel manager Rajeesh, for whom nothing was too much trouble. A special mention has to go to our personal tuk tuk driver Sumesh who enabled us to see many things we wouldn't have been able to walk to, he was unfailingly kind, polite and extremely helpful. We loved the little touches such as having a candle it every night on out outside table along with a bowl of fresh flowers floating in water, a very romantic gesture. A short walk takes you to some lovely restaurants and shops, or you can walk along the cliff on the other side of the resort, or do what we did, and take a tuk tuk to more restaurants and shops, with a view over the sea. An exceptional stay! The hotel offers everything you could ask for - from a fantastic location to top-notch hospitality. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, with special mention to Aster, only last staff and the outstanding lady staff member. She went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable, always with a smile and a helpful attitude. The is one woman army where she will attend the guest bill the first serve the guest and also make them comfortable. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of options to satisfy any palate. Whether you're here to relax or explore, it's the perfect destination for a memorable holiday. Highly recommended!"

We had a pleasant stay. The food and easily accessible beach. The property has good greenery inclusion. Kids friendly. Highly recommend

Excellent position overlooking the sea just steps away from the beach. The rooms are big and characterful old Indian style. The only thing that I think needs changing is replacing the curtains or having the shutter style would look fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, Rajeesh, Bhasker and Saji made our stay memorable and couldn't do enough for us. They have an excellent team who work extremely hard. |Good selection of food at their restaurant with good portions and quality. Varkala north cliffs is only 5-7 mins walk away.

A very busy Varkala beach at weekends where worshippers come down to be blessed in the holy waters of the sea. A sight to observe from the restaurant. Had lasse and fruit juices, chicken kadia and tandoori chicken pieces with chips and salad and what a plate full!! Food incredibly tasty and plentiful. Finished with ice cream and all for a price of around PS12!|Wonderful place with lovely staff.
