S'Cliff Beach Resort Varkala

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a Superior Partial Sea View Room at the Cliff View Hotel. As the name implies, the room offered only a partial view of the sea. However, the hotel's breathtaking cliffside location more than compensated for this. I've attached some photos to give a better idea of the scenic beauty. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, with the receptionist standing out for their exceptional service. Although parking was a bit tight, the staff efficiently arranged for parking at a nearby hotel, which was not very convenient. The hotel's location is fantastic, perched on a cliff and providing easy access to a variety of local restaurants and cafes. This made exploring the area and dining out extremely convenient. While the hotel does not have an in-house kitchen, they do provide a complimentary breakfast sourced from a nearby restaurant. Unfortunately, the breakfast was somewhat disappointing and did not meet my expectations. The room itself was very clean and had a pleasant fragrance, which added to the comfort of the stay. However, the same level of cleanliness was not maintained in the bathroom, which had an unpleasant odor and could use more attention to detail. Overall, while there were a few areas that could be improved, such as the breakfast and bathroom cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff and the beautiful location made for an enjoyable stay.

Very unpleasant and rude behaviour from the guy at reception. He is mostly not available at the desk. Checkin was delayed by more than 30 mins. The way he behaves with the customer is highly unprofessional. The property is in a good location with large rooms and the ones at the end have very nice view and worth the money. 3k approx. But the management is pathetic. Cleanliness was not upto the mark. The management should seriously consider replacing the receptionist.

Reached there after checkin time still we had to wait another 1 hr as they never made the room ready..The room was like small box not even have space to breath and also smelly.got two towels for 3 people both are torned and full of stains. Bedsheets are with lot of stains including blood stains.definitly not worth for the money paid worst experience

One of the best sea view restaurants in Varkala. The amazing view of sea from the balcony is just wow. We Went as a group of 28 people enjoyed w Very well. There is no swimming pool FYI.

I recently came across S'Cliff Beach Resort Varkala, while passing by its premises, and I was appalled by the inappropriate and disrespectful depiction of Lord Radha on the outer wall paintings of the resort. While I did not stay at this property, the offensive nature of the artwork is enough to leave a lasting negative impression. Lord Radha holds a sacred place in the hearts of many, and portraying her in an abusive or inappropriate manner is deeply hurtful to those who revere her. This shows a complete lack of cultural sensitivity and respect for religious sentiments. It is disheartening to see such blatant disregard for values in what should be a place of hospitality and relaxation. I strongly urge the management to immediately remove or replace these offensive paintings and issue an apology for this oversight. Until then, I would not recommend this resort to anyone who values respect and cultural sensitivity. Such acts of carelessness can cause immense distress and tarnish the reputation of the establishment.

Location: 5/5 very near by beach!, nice view point, Calm place to revive. Service: 5/5 They will not disturb you much and reach your door on a call. Food: 4/5 Morning breakfast they gave passes to the near by restaurant. This will suite for Couples, Friends, Family and even for old age people.

The hotel location is great, it's near to the cliff and the market is nearby. The cafe's are very near to the hotel. But the rooms are very compact as per the price point of view.

Not worth the price at all. It's overpriced, and both the room and service were well below average. The mattress and pillow were dirty, with fungus growing on them. There were frequent power outages. We booked three rooms, and two of them had water supply issues, with insufficient pressure and dirty water. One room was supposed to accommodate four people, but it was only big enough for three. Avoid their breakfast at the Black Beach Cafe--it was a complete failure. However, the lunch was significantly better. The only positive aspect was that they allowed us to keep our bags at the check-in counter until the evening, even after we checked out. Plus, the view from the Resort is fantastic.
