Puthooram ayurvedic Resort

"We had an unforgettable experience at puthooram ayurvedic resort in Puthuram! The Ayurvedic resort exceeded our expectations with its breathtaking views of the beach from the cliffside location. The deluxe room upgrade, courtesy of our university affiliation, was a lovely surprise. The staff went above and beyond to make our aniversary celebration special, arranging a romantic candlelit setup on the terrace, complete with mini candles, glasses, and a stunning ambiance. The guest services were top-notch, and we were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail. We highly recommend this resort for its exceptional hospitality, stunning views, and rejuvenating Ayurvedic experience. Rating: 5/5 stars

Honest review: Disappointed. Not recommend Pro's: Just take the hotel room if want beach view. There is nothing more to say. Anyway one can't see beach directly from room. No beach view at all Cons: 1. waiting time is too long. We literally waited for an hour to check in. They keep on saying we have to disinfect the room for making us comfortable 2. Rooms are too small.. no chairs. 3 star hotel will be much spacious than these rooms . Fan speed is too slow, u qill feel hot bcz there is no ventilation 3. Price range is too high and I don't recommend for such small rooms. But they say only this room available to everyone 4. Food: meals are okay to eat (they serve only kerala rice) and mrng complementary breakfast is such a waste I think most of the time they provide only unroasted dosa, rubber Idli, appam they wont provide anything other than these Only a person can take one item from Above breakfast items. Service: people receiving is good. Their restaurant people who serve are odd. I saw this hotel in nanda's journey youtube video . So went there to stay. Its a total waste.

Pros: "Resort" is located near a cliff, that's it. It will offer a view, from the cafeteria/restaurant. Cons: 1. Check in time is 2PM. And check out is 11AM. 2PM is very late check in time by any standards imaginable. Who checks into a hotel post Lunch. Most people travelling try to get to the place early as possible to freshen up and start with the trip. If check in time is 2 pm that day is almost wasted. 2. ROOMS ARE COMPLETELY SUB-STANDARD I booked a standard AC room. No chair or table in the room. NOT even hooks or hangers to hang your clothes. NO TV, NO PHONE/intercom to call the reception or room service. Bad house keeping, AFTER FLOOR WAS WIPED IT left an OILY COATING ON THE SURFACE. Not even a proper shower in the bathroom, just a hand shower mounted in place of normal shower, water pressure was quite low especially considering washing-off sand from hair. Broken and leaking toilet flush thank, DEAD COCKROACH in bathroom, MOLD IN THE ROOM. POOR QUALITY BLANKET. I paid more than 8K per night for the room, when I got there, i would not have paid even 2k for the room. No ambience either, it's a yoga centered resort but that doesn't mean other guests should be forced to listen-in. Random chants and prayers from time to time. I am not against it, but I should not have to listen to it if I don't want to. Only plus side was the location, that too, you don't get a view from the room, just easy accessibility to it. Breakfast included is bad. It's south indian food items tasting like cooked by someone who doesn't know how to cook south indian dishes. Food NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! They did let us check in a little early, thanks for that.

Amazing location, best possible view of the ocean. One biggest complain - extra bed is meant to be the same set of guests who are using the property. It was just a piece of foam below the sheet. Also the blanket was really third class fleece blanket. The facility should be consistent for all guests.

We had a wonderful stay at Puthooram Resorts. We visited to celebrate a special occasion and initially planned for a 2-day vacation. The owner surprised us with a lovely gesture, making our experience even more memorable. The resort is located at the North Cliff, offering stunning views from their cafe. The breakfast was both delicious and plentiful. The owner and staff were very kind and hospitable, which added to our comfort. They also offer yoga sessions and Kalari massages on the premises. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it for an extra night, which they kindly offered at a reasonable rate.

NOT RECOMMENDED The resort is located on North Cliff, one of the best location of Verkala. However, this resort has extremely pathetic service. The staff here gives negative vibes. The complimentary food is just dosa and idli and no buffet like in other hotels. There is no room service. Even barring all this, there are insects and lizards in the room. We needed to change our room twice in two days as at night our bed was filled with flying insects. Moreover, the hotel staff blamed us for this inconvenience and said why it is happening with you and not with others. There are many other hotels on the cliff, hence I would not recommend this to anyone

Room was near to North cliff. View is very nice from the sitting area of the resort. Staff behaviour was really good. Overall good experience.

Recently had the rejuvenating experience at Puthooram Ayurvedic Beach Resort in Varkala, and I can't recommend it enough! Room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic--just steps away from the Black beach, where to spent afternoons in the sun and taking leisurely walks along the shore. The nearby cliffs also offered breathtaking views and were perfect for sunset watching. The staff was genuinely warm and welcoming and special thanks to the Owners who were to make us comfortable, also special thanks to wonderful breakfast you guys made.
