Moon Waves Beach Resort

Rooms are highly overpriced. They don't even provide basic toiletries or even water bottle while checkin. AC was leaking water inside the room. The balcony is full of dust and not properly cleaned. There is no TV in the room. Unfortunately we had a power cut in the evening due to heavy rain when we visited and they don't generators for power backup. After 45 minutes of struggle, they finally gave us candles. The road leading to this stay is very narrow and at a time only one car can pass through. Only advantage is the location, which is just 500 meters from the north cliff beach sky lounge restaurant.

First of all this is not resort or lodge or homestay even. Worst hostel room with unclean and unhygienic beds. Never see this kind of hospitality in south india. U can book better resort outside or directly call them for booking to avoid taxes. Lights and fan were not working. Room swap request also denied . Not preferable for couples, family and girls group. Only advantage is 500 m distance from cliff. Worst worst experience! I don't know whether their admin friends are giving positive reviews.

Beware! They have zero respect for online bookings. Had a confirmed reservation through Agoda but they refused to honor it. Even after showing proof of payment, they were unhelpful. Seems like a regular practice here. The location is extremely cramped, you cannot fit your car into that road so they don't really have parking either. Terrible.

Drove 13 hours only to be turned away despite having a confirmed Agoda booking. Called ahead to check availability and they said yes, but completely denied the booking when we arrived. Absolutely unprofessional and deceitful. Save your time and money. Our whole family suffered due to their incompetence.

NEVER EVER GO HERE!!!!!!!! What a nightmare! They confirmed our booking over phone, but denied it upon arrival. No apology, no alternative suggestions, nothing. Staff behaved as if it was our fault for booking through Agoda. Highly unprofessional management. I think the worst if not one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Utter blasphemy by the hotel manager. STAY ANYWHERE IN VARKALA BUT HERE!!!!!!!

Rooms are reasonably good. Car parking is available. Roads are narrow to access the hotel. Take just 4-5 mins to reach the cliff by walk ! Prices around 1500 (normal days) / 6000 (Holidays like new year)

One of the worst experience i had. I had booked 2 wodden rooms, but when i arrived they mentioned 1 wodden room is not available for so they will shift to deluxe room. Deluxe room price is less. During checkin time to deluxe room , manager mentioned he would reduce the price. But when making the paymet, he thretened me and asked me to pay more. Please dont choose this hotel..its all paid review

The stay was really good in 2nd floor - open view The management helped us to get rental vehicles, and itinerary. Had a great time
