We booked the hotel the night before we checked in! We got lucky to get the home stay! Ms Priya is a perfect host which gets her a lots of customers! She arranged a rental car for us, a taxi to the station...you request her and she delivers!!! Peaceful stay, clean rooms and easy accessibility to the beach! Couldn't be perfect for a person who booked one day before! Prices are not high as well! It's a gated community so at 11PM there is no entry inside the property! This was impressive!

Positives:- *Large and spacious room with shelfs,table,chair. *No issues of any mosquitos. *Room was kept clean. *Chairs and hanging net outside the room for vibing. *Even if there is no food available here,cafe,s and one hotel nearby. *Walking distance to beach. *Security is available for the premise. Main door closes 10pm and backdoor to beach closes 11pm ,as this is a closed community. *Parking space available. *Family friendly. *Owner is friendly. *Water can outside the room Things to improve:- *when we call the owner on Saturday evening,which was a rush day,she agreed room was booked and time is 8 pm to 11am for 1800rs and if checking out time extends to 1 pm,it would be 2000 for a non AC room. When we reached there the current parties has not left and we need to wait until 9.30 pm for our room. But the price was not reduced from 2000rs and the time we stay there was 9.30 pm to 1.20 pm. If the guests had faced some inconvenience and not received their actual time slot ,price should be reduced,which didn't happen.we feel bad for that and there wasn't any food included. Should treat customers little more efficiently on the room rate side. *I was traveling with my wife. from my prior experiences ,I have never being asked for the I'd cards for both of us and either one person's I'd card is enough. Felt confused by this act from the owner. If you are going as a group,make sure all of you have taken a copy of I'd with you. *No water heater available.

Rooms were clean and affordable. They were very polite and helpful to us. They will arrange rental bikes also!! And also they arrange the transport!! Mrs.priya she guided everything about the nearby places! She made us feel comfortable! And arranged all the necessary things. Rooms were very close the beach,so it easy to access!best room for budget!! And good hearted service!

Rooms are pretty decent and clean. The host Priya is very sweet and kind. The room is very close to the beach almost only 100 steps away and you get the magnificent sea view, hence it was very convenient. Great places to eat are also very close.

Rooms are good , spacious, neat bathroom, very near to beach, value for money. 1 star less for non availability of TV. Though it's not a major issue I just want to mention here. And the owner of this property is very kind person. Also here there are many homestay like this. If you are for direct booking you can visit each and every one and you can choose it. If you travel from far distance you have to book in advance. That will be a better choice

Thy are not beach front but gives you good sea view from hammock in balcony. Rooms are very clean, big, hot water and wifi 25/7 with safe stay for any solo traveler. Loved the balcony and hammock. 600 per night during holiday weekend. Can get a room for even lesser price. The owner family is friendly and flexible with your needs. Closer to all|best eats.

An excellent place to stay - very clean, good sized rooms with comfortable beds, hot water and wifi. The location is ideal being safe and only a very short walk to the cliff with all its restaurants and shops. Priya and her family are delightful and very friendly. They will organise taxis or rickshaws if needed. Reasonably priced this is the place to stay and we can't wait to return.

Recommended! We stayed here 3 nights. The place is very clean, rooms are simple but comfy and offer all you need including a nice little balcony with a hammock and AC in some rooms. Located 4 houses behind the main beach strall it is quiet but central. The place is owned by a super-friendly woman. She offers Indian breakfast for 50 IRP if you ask. If we visited Varkala again we would for sure come back here!
