My experience After booking tickets to Varkala, I was in a dilemma about which hostel to choose. This was my first solo trip, and I wanted a place where I could socialize but also one that was neat and clean. ChatGPT recommended Haust based on the reviews, and honestly, AI nailed it. The vibe of the hostel was super inclusive - I met so many other solo travelers, and we ended up planning a lot of things together and just having a great time. What makes this place even better is Santosh - the hostel manager. He's an absolute gem and a genuinely sweet person. He helped me with so much, from finding a bike rental to suggesting places to visit and everything in between. If you're ever planning a trip to Varkala, stay at Haust. You won't want to leave - guaranteed.

Had an amazing 4 day stay here. The hostel is located right at the main road and has easy connectivity. The rooms and the common areas were clean and well maintained; the beds were very cozy and comfortable. The manager is sweet and gave us good recommendations! A lovely and safe stay in Varkala. I stayed at Haust in Varkala and had a wonderful experience. It's a very clean, neat, and aesthetically pleasing place--perfect for solo as well as group travellers. The ladies-only dorm felt safe and welcoming. HAUST is located at a mid-distance from both the South and North Cliff, which makes exploring easy. The staff were warm, pleasant, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more comfortable.I left with a heart full of lovely memories.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The host guy is super friendly and helpful. The property is clean, well maintained and beautiful. The location is top as all other places such as beaches, cafes, north cliff/helipad, and the railway station is super close-by. Highly recommended but never keep your food on the tables at the outside common sitting area, lots of crows waiting. The host can even help you with activity bookings, vehicle rental and lot more. 10/10 place.
