Grand Residency Varkala

I recently booked a one-bedroom apartment for a one-day stay at this accommodation. The location is quite suitable, offering easy access to parking for up to five cars. However, it's important to note that you cannot expect a sea view or a great balcony view from this stay, as it is located almost a kilometer away from the cliff. Despite the lack of scenic views, the rooms are impeccably clean and very spacious, which adds to the overall comfort. The accommodation does not have a built-in kitchen. However, they do provide a complimentary breakfast arranged from outside the hotel. It's crucial to be on time for breakfast, as arriving late might leave you with empty plates, which can be a bit disappointing. One positive aspect is that they seem to allow outside food delivery, which is convenient for guests who prefer to order in. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the stay more enjoyable. Having a mini-fridge in the room was an added advantage, allowing for convenient storage of snacks and drinks. Additionally, both the bedroom and living room had separate air conditioners, ensuring a comfortable stay. Overall, while the lack of scenic views and the absence of an in-house kitchen are drawbacks, the cleanliness, spaciousness, and friendly staff made for a pleasant stay.

Amazing place. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and nice but the main highlight is the hospitality. The people are very co operative and supportive. They got us scooters on rent and also the auto to go back to the railway station

Great property in Varkala. Well maintained and close to beach. We were a group of 9 people from Bangalore and was blown away by the hospitality and ambience. Owner and staffs are really helpful ensuring you a great stay.

Grand Residency offers a fantastic stay experience! The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. The staff is really good and goes out of their way to help--whether it's arranging a rental car or scooter. Its convenient location near key attractions makes it an excellent choice. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable visit!

Rooms were great for the price. We booked a two-bedroom apartment with a living room for two days for 8200 with breakfast. Tip: Call them directly for better deals. They offer bike rentals at 600 per day, but you need to book them in advance. The breakfast was okay. If you want to go kayaking (recommended--go in the evening), they have contacts you can book with. Overall, a great experience! If you want to rent a car, try AVS rental; they offer cars from 1400 per day.

It's a relatively new property. It's about 1.5 kms from the cliff. If u have a personal vehicle it will just take 5 mins. Those planning to walk may find the location very far off from the action. Rooms are good, spacious and clean. They offer complimentary breakfast. However on most days I found the buffet breakfast empty and repetitive. I had to constantly remind the staff to replenish the food on all 3 days. Some items they could whereas for some items they often mentioned it's over. Management is advised to pay attention to this aspect and plan the food adequately so that guests don't need to ask / wait for food to be replenished.

Stayed in the apartment here in march 2025. The location,I felt ,was very close to the varkala beach/helipad. Owners and service were extremely helpful and understanding. They also have scooters for rent. Breakfast was good and healthy. Very Slightly overpriced but eventually your trip as a whole will be worth it with this property.

I had a wonderful stay at Grand Residency Resort Hotel in Varkala. The hotel manager was exceptional--always helpful and went out of his way to ensure a great experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic selection of delicious options. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Varkala!
