Clafouti Beach Resort

The rooms at this resort are quite disappointing--more like a budget lodge than a proper resort. There's no proper reception area and nowhere comfortable for guests to sit. It's definitely not worth the 4K price tag. If you manage to get a deal around 2K, then it might be acceptable. The only positives here are the restaurant and the location.

The best resort at North Cliff of Varkala. Actually if you are looking for happening part of Varkala North Cliff is the option if looking for peaceful silent place go for south varkala.|Small reception but its good what its ment for. quick checking and checkout.|The room was really very big, spacious, clean and modern, however the bathroom could be a bit better. Full value for money. The view from the room is mesmerising, exotic and just wonderful, I just wanted to sit at the balcony for the whole day and view the sea.|The amenities was ok ok, but the service was excellent.|We have direct access to the cliff walk way from our resort, and the sea beach is just 250 meters both left or right of our resort. |The resort restaurant is at the cliff side however accessible from both resort and cliff. |There are plenty of other cafe's, restaurants, stores from line towards right and left of the resort, which are open till late night, and are heppening.|We can find both veg and non veg options here. The food quality is good.|Reaching resort by car is a bit tough if you have big vehicle so try small car when coming to this place. They do have parking space.|overall wonderful stay, just loved it.

Beach house by Palmyra Resort is located at the most beautiful spot. The sunset view and sunrise view from here are soothing to the eyes and mind. You can also enjoy the cool sea breeze from here. Very polite staff, Good infrastructure. Can enjoy the sea view from here too. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. If you are planning to visit with family or friends I think it's a good choice safety, hospitality, food is good.

Clafouti's location is spot on with direct access to the Varkala cliff. The staff were cordial and ready to assist. The property has ample parking space although the road to the property is a bit congested. They have a restaurant which serves good food. I took the cottage which had a spacious bedroom and bathroom. Some downfalls are there which can be corrected for a better experience. Looking forward to having a pleasant visit until next time!

The rooms can be a little more clean. But that's subjective. Wifi connection needs to be more stable. Their service is really good. Location is also amazing. We came here by car and the road leading to this stay is narrow but with a little traffic management and mutual understanding between the drivers, it's not a problem. They have plenty of parking area for four wheelers. They have their own in house doctor in case someone is not well. In whole cliff area, there's no pharmacy store and availability of a doctor is very helpful.

In this budget, this is the best resort. The restaurant is leased out and they charge higher prices so , better to eat from outside the resort. View from the resort is superb and the beach is easily accessible.

After seeing great review (I'm sure it's a paid review) from a renowned Indian youtuber, I fell for the trap of booking this property. Although this property had great location but there are few things that should be genuinely considered before booking this property. There were ants and small worms/bugs in the bed. Ants bit us the entire night and we could barely sleep. Nonetheless the room charges were higher than average (definitely on the higher side). They had no cloth drying rack or any arrangement for drying clothes whatsoever, although it's a beach property where people would go to the beach and get wet. Secondly they had not given us any doormat inside the room. Neither at the bed front nor at the bathroom door and the worst part is that the bathroom is at the end of the room. So one comes from the beach soaked in sand and water, he/she enters the room, crosses it entirely with that dirty body and then theres no doormat, making the room intensely dirty. Nevertheless, when we complained about the ant bites, the staffs immediately deep cleaned the room and acknowledged that there was a family with small kids that stayed right before us and had the room real dirty but my point is why couldn't they do it beforehand, before a customer complaint? Later I came to know that there's an ant issue in this hotel and the same has been repeated with several other customers. Other than that, their Staffs were extremely polite and decent. They have a wonderful restaurant that served delicious food. But given a chance I won't stay with them again.

We recently spent a day in the deluxe villa, and the view from the resort was absolutely breathtaking -- with a clear sight of the sea and beach, it was truly picturesque. However, a major issue we faced was the air conditioning, which was not functioning properly. Despite informing the staff, the problem remained unresolved. During the summer, this made the stay quite uncomfortable. The breakfast was just fine with very few options which didn't had the value for money we spent.
