The Meadows Varkala

The stay was incredibly cozy and comfortable!! I believe the stay could be more better personal amenities like toothbrush toothpaste were provided. Additionally since outdoor shoes aren't allowed inside it would helpful to offer slippers to guests. It would also be great if such rules were mentioned during the booking process so guests can prepare accordingly. Other than this the stay was amazing!! Highly recommended.

*5 Stars - A Peaceful and Charming Luxury Stay!* We had a wonderful experience staying at *The Meadows* in Varkala. The property is huge and elegant, with just four rooms, making it feel private and exclusive. We stayed in their Deluxe Room, which came with a lovely little garden - perfect for a peaceful morning tea. The room and bathroom were both spacious and spotless. The property is located close to Varkala Railway Station, and while the North Cliff is about 15 minutes away (South Cliff just 10), the connectivity is great. You'll find plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby, including a Reliance Mart within walking distance. One of the highlights was the common area - a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room, dining space, and a smart TV where we could unwind with Netflix. Everything is air-conditioned, and they even offer laundry service, which is super convenient. We especially loved the authentic Kerala breakfast - we were served delicious idiyappam, and it truly added to the experience. The staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel at home. If you're looking for a peaceful, charming, and luxurious stay in Varkala, *The Meadows* is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Stayed at Meadows Varkala and had such a great experience! The villa is super well-maintained, clean, and comes with all the modern amenities you'd need for a comfortable stay. It's spacious, cozy, and feels like a perfect mix of homely and stylish. What I loved most was the location -- it's really close to the beach and the main town, but still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. Everything is just a short walk or drive away, which made getting around super easy. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Whether you're visiting Varkala to relax or explore, Meadows is a great choice. Would definitely recommend it!

Wonderful experience. I stayed in the Bridal Private Balcony Room, which was not only spacious and beautifully designed, but also exceptionally clean and secure. The attention to detail in the room made it feel both cozy and luxurious -- perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.||The hospitality at The Meadows was outstanding. Abhilash, the property manager, went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the stay was smooth and comfortable. His warm, friendly approach made a big difference and added a personal touch to the whole experience.||One of the highlights was the complimentary authentic Keralite breakfast -- fresh, flavourful, and a perfect start to each day. The location is another major plus; it's ideally situated, with easy access to North Cliff and several popular tourist spots, yet still feels peaceful and private.||Whether you're traveling as a couple, with a group of friends, or on your own, this place is a great choice. I highly recommend The Meadows for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Varkala.

Enjoyed our stay here and sharing both positives and negatives: Positives: The property is exceptionally beautiful, serene, spotless clean and well maintained. The care-takers were very kind, the breakfast was homemade and delicious. Staff was very good with communication and helped us book the place at the last minute (we had some trouble booking it online - I prefer talking to the merchant directly in such cases and the staff here was very prompt and transparent in their communication). The kitchen has most appliances for simple cooking which was great for fixing up a quick dinner/snack. The location is a little away from the beach/touristy stuff and that can be a plus or minus depending on what you prefer. We did not mind it, a short 10 minute auto/bus ride takes you to most places. Negatives: The property has some technological features for security which I did not personally like. We got locked out of the property one night because of the "technology". Thank god for another guest who helped us out. There is no care-taker/resident present on the property 24/7. For this reason, I would not recommend to solo-female travelers because you do not know who the other guests are. It makes more sense for large groups to book the entire property so that you have the space to yourself.

Starting off by saying that the property is very well maintained and very pretty. The rooms are very attractive with gardens, balconies accessible to them. The property overall is very beautiful. However, I did have an unpleasant experience which marred the experience for me. On the day of the checkout, the caretaker, Prasad Uncle, spoke to us very rudely and post checkout we were not even allowed access to the common areas to sit and wait before our flight. There is no 24x7 help present at the property, the caretaker leaves the place at 4:30 pm. We went sightseeing after checkout leaving our luggage at the property, having made an arrangement that the caretaker may leave the luggage outside the main gate for us to pickup and leave at the time of departure. However, we had to come back earlier due to rain and that is when we were left waiting outside the main gate even with the caretaker present inside. The property manager, Abhilash, who was also accommodating and helpful the entire time switched off his phone when the problem was reported. Post checkout, please beware of rude and inhospitable behaviour towards guests and do not rely on the team in Varkala. Additionally, I was allotted the incorrect room for the early period of my stay. I was sent pictures of a different room. I did notice some problems with the plug points, as in some had loose connections while a couple were in the path of sliding doors. Outside of the above experiences, the facilities are excellent and the stay was lovely. The property is perfectly situated very close to most major attractions. The hostile behaviour on the last day is the reason for this poor review.
