Hotel Vakkom Palazzo

This review is restricted to everything other than the rooms since I did not stay there. The location looks odd for such a nice hotel. I had an old association with this hotel and expected some aggressive marketing but somehow it is missing. The reception area to the boat jetty, everything is top class,. They have top class staff at the reception. We had food there which was a very good buffet lunch. The party area on the rea and the lawns from thereon look excellent. The boating facility is very nice. They provide many facilities in the party area but we could not use all due to shortage of time. A nice place to 'get away from it all'.

Our stay at Hotel Vakkom Palazzo on March 19th and 20th, 2025, was truly a delightful experience. Nestled in a serene Kerala village setting, the hotel exudes a laidback and relaxed vibe, perfect for those looking to unwind. Its strategic location--just 10 km from Varkala Cliff--offers easy access to the backwaters, kayaking experiences, and other local attractions, making it an excellent choice for travelers. What truly made our stay special was the amazing food and warm hospitality of Anju and Pranav. Their attentiveness and effort to make us feel comfortable stood out, adding a personal touch to our visit. From delicious local cuisine to seamless service, they ensured we had a memorable time. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with authentic Kerala charm, Vakkom Palazzo is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

We reserved a family suite room, which was fantastic and really clean. This hotel has really well-kept rooms.Staffs are Professional. The complimentary breakfast was tasty, but we had hoped for more options. Additionally, their pool was inaccessible during our visit; we had to wait outside for a while before being informed that pool maintenance would take longer than expected. My kids were extremely disappointed. But overall, the stay was enjoyable.

Room are well kept, boating was marvellous experience. Food was tasting the best : North Indian flavours, Gobi65 was a welcome surprise: never had such dish earlier. Lija was very cooperative and enthusiastic to look after our dinner.

Did not like the stay at all. The hotel is deep in a village with nothing nearby. The rooms were dirty. There was no dental kits or shaving kit. The pool time were from 7 in the morning, however they started cleaning it after 8. The lake nearby the property smells and the price for the shikara ride offered by the hotel is too expensive. They charge Rs 3500 for an at max Rs 1000 ride. There was no buffet. We were given an option between eggs, dosa, poori and fruits. And then they served us cold food. Would not recommend. Stay at another hotel.

Service was excellent, staff was very co operative. The pool was clean, boating and kayaking was excellent. Best place in varkala to stay Food was awesome and tasty.

Really enjoyed the stay here and it's great place for family. Offers great activities such as kayaking, boat trip, kids park and pool etc. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming and made our stay memorable one. Thank you Vakkom Palazzo for your hospitality...
