Maadathil Beach Resort

It's a very good stay, they do have different kind of cottages. Even they looks good. Rooms are very big and clean. Each and every thing gives you luxury vibes. You can watch beautiful sunset from the resort itself. We booked beach view resort, view of the beach is right from the bed. its very narrow road ro reach this stay. It's very spacious, many swings are there to enjoy the view and to relax. They maintained well even outside the room, garden and photo spot/ sunset view point is also available. Overall it's really good stay. Food was tasty except breakfast. Drawback: 1) They have very limited food in breakfast. 2) Narrow road to reach stay

Truly memorable experience of staying here. The beach is private and clean, we had fun playing in the waves. The staff is welcoming and readily provide assistance. The restaurant is great with good food and wonderful service. The rooms are excellent, spacious and clean and we had a sea facing view from the first floor which was the cherry on the cake. Just walked 200 m from this place and we got a nice cliff view of the beach. A morning walk on the beach is also recommended

After a month of touring around Rajasthan and Kerala we chose Varkala to be our final stop to relax before flying home. And we chose Maadathil primarily owing to it's very good reviews on TripAdvisor and also its location a bit outside the main town and bar area for peace and quiet. In our experience its very rare you get a nice clean room AND great service AND great food AND value for money at the same time. If you're lucky you might get two of these but never all of them and I have to say we got all at this place. Firstly the place itself is spotlessly clean and located on a quiet part of the beach. The staff are fantastic and genuinely want you to have a pleasant stay with them, so go out of their way to make sure you have everything you want; just ask. We picked one of the newer top floor rooms which has the best view over the beach and also for sunset too. You're so high up you're at the same height as the crows and kites in the palm tree tops. The food in the restaurant was so good that we didn't even bother going into town during our week there. You just let them know an hour or two before your evening meal what you want and they will make it from fresh ingredients every day. If you like spicy food just let them know otherwise they may assume you want it mild. The staff were fantastic, especially manager Aslam, who always made sure you had everything you wanted. And the final ingredient, value for money. You could search for months, but I doubt you would ever find a place to stay in India that is as good value for money as this, bearing in mind the room itself, the staff, the food and location on the beach. I would highly recommend staying here. The hotel itself is great and the beach here is very clean and often you are only one of a handful of people on the whole beach. They also organised both being collected from the backwaters to the hotel and also took me to Trivandrum airport also at very reasonable prices.

We spend 3 weeks in Maadathil Resort and we couldn't be more satisfied!!! Amazing experience and we felt like home. Hotel was cleaned, always taken great care of. Rooms were big with an amazing view of the ocean. It also has a nice garden with a lot of places to sit and enjoy the view and sound of the waves. Food was really tasty and with a great room service. Location of the hotel is great, just few steps from a beach that was always clean. It is facing to the west so you can see stunning sunset every day just from the balcony! The North cliff is reachable in 15 minutes walk on the beach or 15 minutes by rickshaw. The service of the resort is exceptional! Manager, staff in the restaurant, cleaning... always helpful and with a smile, everything was solved very fast and with a lot of care. Thank you for making our stay in so perfect! If I get the chance to come back I definitely will!

We planned to relax and unwind at Maadathil and it did not disappoint. Aslam was brilliant in the lead up to our stay and he was consistently brilliant throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was amazing, modern and clean with amazing views over the sea. There are a lot of good restaurants in Varkala but the restaurant at Maadathil easily matched them, should probably advertise it a bit more. We loved the five days we spent here and would not hesitate to book again.

Sooo good we stayed Twice! Jan15-22 and Jan30-Feb6. Why? It's the best place we found to relax on the beach in Kerala! The rooms etc. are simple, clean and authentic. The beach is quiet, clean, chairs and umbrellas available. The management and staff are great. Food is affordable, tasty and plentiful. Karthik and Aslam really care about your experience and are very helpful. For a change of pace it's close enough to North Cliff, vendors and nice restaurants. It's all very relaxing, laidback and restful. What a place Can't wait to come back next year! Marina and Jon

The resort has direct access to beach. It feels like a private luxury. Rooms are super clean and tidy Breakfast is tasty and healthy with good options. However Veg food during night was not that great. Options are less. Highly recommend if you are planning for a peaceful vacation with family ahead of city Chaos
