Chera Rock Beach Resort

Excellent location if you are looking for an unspoilt beach! It is like Goa thirtyfive years ago. We had a basic room and it was quite comfortable. The staff was amazing. Polite and gracious. Superb food just added to the experience. The only small negative point was that the fishing activity and collection of fishermen and fish right next to the rooms, caused a bit of unwanted mess in a small contained pocket. But then, it's their beach...their village. How can I grudge them that?

It is an amazing place nestled on the Kizhuna Beach, isolated from the buzz of the city. The peace and quiet you experience at this place is second to none. Had an amazing stay here, the rooms were neat and clean. The food is amazing and the hospitality is top notch. For sure a place I would keep visiting!

This is a beautiful location, enhanced by the soothing sounds of the beach. The property requires a short 500-meter walk from the parking area, but the staff is incredibly helpful, assisting with luggage and guiding guests to their rooms with care. We stayed in one of the beach hut houses, and true to its name, it was situated right by the sea. The room was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were included in the stay, and the food was a delightful showcase of authentic Kerala flavors. While there was no air conditioning in the room, it was quite warm during the day, but the nights were more manageable. If you're visiting in the summer, it's worth checking the amenities to see if they suit your needs. The caretakers were very friendly and attentive, responding promptly to any requests. The only downside was the booking process, which involved multiple follow-ups on my part due to slow responses from the property. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay, and I would recommend it for both families and groups of friends.

I visit Chera Rocks every year for a few days usually with one or more of the young people I support through my company Manjula's Mysore plus members of our team. It's a great location, right on the beach. Food and service is exceptional. We often just stay there but this time also visited the fort, hand loom weaving and went kayaking. We're also Mysore Bed and Breakfast so can understand and recognise good service. Highly recommended. Stephen.

We spent 2 nights here in one of the superior rooms. The setting is wonderful, right on a secluded beach with stunning views and sounds. There are hammocks from where you can watch the sunset and breakfast/dinner by the beach was delightful. The staff were also fantastic. Bosco (manager) was there for us 24/7 and was dedicated to giving us a fantastic stay. The other staff were also so polite and generous, we felt very well looked after without feeling smothered. However I take 2 stars off because the price is way too high for what it is. We paid 11,000 per night which was significantly higher than anywhere else we stayed on our trip. The room is nice but quite basic and not worth that much. We also had to pay for 2 juices outside of breakfast/dinner times which we think should be included when paying that price. We hope the excellent staff (including our suitcase carriers) see a good cut of what we paid! Ps - visit Loknath Co-op for an authentic experience watching the local weavers at work, great products at fair prices :)

"Cheri Rock House: A Peaceful Retreat with Stunning Views" The serene seaside setting, surrounded by coconut trees, makes Cheri Rock House a perfect escape from the chaos. The peaceful ambiance with no rush is truly refreshing. However, one suggestion for improvement would be to set up a small cafe or restaurant. It would be great for non-resident visitors like me who come to explore the beach and expect some food or snacks to enhance the experience. Overall, it's a hidden gem for those seeking tranquility, but adding a food option would make it even better!

A Peaceful Getaway at Chera Rock Beach, Kannur We visited Chera Rock Beach in February 2025, and it was the perfect escape for those looking to unwind in a serene environment. The vibe here is incredibly chill, offering a simple and peaceful experience away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore creates a calming atmosphere, ideal for relaxing. Plus, the beach is easily accessible at any time of the day, allowing us to enjoy the view whenever we wanted. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with basic amenities like soap, shampoo, and linens provided. Room service was readily available, and the staff was very helpful. While the parking is located a little farther away, it felt completely safe and secure. One of the highlights was definitely the authentic Kerala cuisine they serve. It was delicious and gave us a true taste of the local flavors. Overall, Chera Rock Beach offers a peaceful and refreshing experience, making it a great choice for anyone seeking a quiet, coastal retreat.
