KTDC Grand Chaithram

KTDC Grand Chaithram provides a comfortable and well-maintained stay with clean, spacious rooms and efficient air conditioning. The in-house restaurant adds to the convenience, offering easy access to dining options. The reception staff is courteous and welcoming, ensuring a smooth check-in and stay experience. The only drawback was occasional housefly disturbance in the restaurant. However, apart from this minor issue, everything else was excellent, making it a great choice for travelers seeking comfort and hospitality.

I with family stayed from 9th to 11th May 2025. We had two rooms booked. Nice ambience and courteous staff. House keeping needs improvement. We found cockroaches and other insects in our room including on mattresses indicating laxity in cleaning. Restaurant has limited food options forcing us to take food outside. Security poor. We Had a bad and scary experience. On 9th at late night at 1AM, someone rang bell of our room and knocked on the door heavily. When we asked who is outside no one answered. After sometime when we opened door by putting on the safety chain no one was found outside. Morning when we asked Reception staff we were told that someone saying as our visitor had come.But that person when asked about my name gave a wrong name. Without confirming on phone from me the visitor was taken to outside our room by staff and left there alone. But since we didn't open the door that person left telling the Reception that wrongly came to Chaithram and was actually to go to another hotel. This is a serious security breach. Hotel management needs to strengthen security protocol.

KTDC Grand Chaithram provides good rooms, great service and clean spacious rooms to their guests. The location of this property is the main highlight. The hotel is located just 300 to 400 meters from Trivandrum Central Railway Station & also adjacent to the Bus Stand. The hotel offers A/C & Non A/C rooms. The rooms are kept very clean and their service is incredible. They also have an in-house restaurant as well. Our stay at this property was very comfortable and travelling within the city was easy. Since the hotel is centrally located we could find transport easily to travel within the city.

Me and my mom were old customers of KTDC restaurant when I was a little child. After a long time, we again came back today to KTDC Chaitram and we were delighted to see the renovations made to the restaurant as well as to the hotel. We had their breakfast buffet at their "Salkara" restaurant and it was awesome! We would like to thank the staff for their generous and kind behavior especially the managers: Shiji Kumar, Mohan Kumar and Smitha maam, who take care of the restaurant customers! Thankyou very much, and KTDC Chaitram will be a must visit for me and my mom whenever we come to Thiruvananthapuram

I recently stayed here and had an excellent experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff was polite, professional, and always attentive, making every interaction pleasant and seamless. The dining options were outstanding, with a variety of delicious dishes served in a lovely ambiance. The hotel facilities were also well-maintained, Overall, it was a perfect blend of comfort, quality service, and great dining, making my stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again.

A very comfortable place to stay. The staff, especially the housekeeping section was very good and helpful. Location of the hotel is a huge plus. Right next to railway station and ksrtc bus stand.

I have such a horrible experience from this hotel a week ago which i never face anywhere. Last tuesday we book one room in this hotel for two days we reached there around 6 pm in the evening. The next day morning we went outside for breakfast. before going we inform the house keeping staff to clean the room. In the cabinet i kept my handbag with 490 saudiriyals along with some indian rupees, we took less than one hour for the breakfast and we came back to the room. And inthe after noon i recheck all my belongings including the money and my documents because that night i will go back to my workplace. When i check my money there is missing of 230 riyals. Me and my husband count twice or thrice, and we searched everywhere in the room.because its not good to blame anyone unnecessarily.we didnt find it anywhere.we inform this to the authority there. They came to the room with two housekeeping staff and they are saying we didnt took the money. I inform them i didnt mention anyone here. And according to manager only they are the one went inside the room for cleaning and they are with him in the last 4 years. And he is asking me to count the money again and to checkthe room. What he mean by that we are blaming someone without anyreason. 230 riyal is almost 5000 Rs ,its not the problem of money, how we can stay in this hotel in the future. And its almost one week and they didnt took any action.its unacceptable.

KTDC chaitram is a boon for travellers. Located in the busy area near Railway station and very close to Padmanabha swamy temple. Room rents are reasonable and can be booked online in advance. Rooms are neat and very well maintained. Its really calm and peaceful. Interiors add a spark.
