Ambara Suites

We had a 2-night stay in the hotel in Dec'24. We felt that the experience was below average and could have been better, especially for 1 reason in particular - 1. Buffet Breakfast - I cannot recall when was the last time I had such a bad experience of a buffet breakfast. It felt as if the hotel did not care at all about the breakfast. The restaurant area looked gloomy. The staff looked extremely tired, sleepy and slow. The breakfast spread was limited and nothing great in taste. The entire set-up was dull. 2. Gloomy room - Now this is very much personal. We felt that the vibe of the room given to us was depressing. There was nothing "happy" about the room, just a practical ensemble of stuff that evoked no feeling of joy. Though the entire was spacious, it lacked character. 3. Horrible TV - It seemed like the theme of our trip to Kerala was that wherever we stayed, we had to deal with the worst TVs/remotes. Like the other hotels we stayed in this trip, the TV and the remote In this hotel were simply horrible and outdated. It would be unfair if we only called out the problems without mentioning the Good part about the property - 1. Spacious and practical room 2. General cleanliness 3. Prompt Service - housekeeping 4. Proximity to the airport We think that this is a practical property which might be more suited for corporate travellers.

I recently tried the beef coconut fry from Town Sent, and it was an extraordinary experience! The flavors were simply exquisite, perfectly balanced with spices and the richness of coconut. Every bite was a burst of taste that left me wanting more. The beef was cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The dish had an authentic, homemade feel that made it even more special. I was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients used. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. It's evident that a lot of care and expertise went into preparing this dish. Town Sent has truly set a high standard for beef dishes in town. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu.

Short version - better go to a upscale rest house than this crappy property. Filthy and crap are the words that best describe the place Their air-conditioning doesn't work, beds are creaky, mattresses are sagged, hardened towels, you name an issue and they have it Solution to every issue is - we can't do anything at the moment You call them upfront to confirm booking, they say their system's not working and disconnect the call abruptly The pictures are misleading and not to be believed, the property for sure looks like a nice one, which got me to book it On being asked if they can atleast arrange a pedestal fan so that I can get some sleep, n straight comes the standard answer - no, we can't do anything at the moment They ruined the night in this beautiful city.

This hotel is definitely not a 4-star property as it claims to be. The rooms are surely clean and comfortable, but the positives end there. The service is absolutely appalling. I ordered a coffee but they failed to serve it even in one hour despite reminding them twice. Once after taking shower all the water were overflowing through under the door to bedroom. The breakfast was a joke. There was no buffet and there were only two options - Puri sabzi or toast! They didn't even have tea or coffee ready. After a couple of reminders they finally brought coffee. I gulped it down with a toast and hurried off to check out. Opt for this hotel if you get it cheap but don't be under the delusion that you'll get a 4-star experience!

I have been staying at Ambara for a couple of days every month over the past year whenever I visit Trivandrum for official purposes. Even though there are other hotels closer to my office, I always choose Ambara because of the exceptional hospitality and service they provide. It truly feels like a home away from home, which is so important when you're away from family for work. As a woman traveling alone in a new city, safety is always a priority for me, and Ambara has always made me feel completely safe and comfortable. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the atmosphere feels secure and peaceful. I would also like to take a moment to thank Mr. Joby, the Front Office Manager, for his outstanding support. He always goes above and beyond, even helping with last-minute bookings, ensuring that my stays are always smooth and stress-free. Ambara has become my go-to place in Trivandrum, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for great service, a secure environment, and a genuinely hospitable experience.

Good ambiance...affordable price....excellent foods....service awesome...especially kalyani she s very pleasant...nice attitude.....we will come back again..

It's very nice, stay staff also too good .food is average.but over all experience too much good n
