POOVAR ISLAND RESORT PARKING 2

Let me start off with the positives 1. Location :- This is located in the backwaters of Poovar facing the beach ..Excellent location 2.Breakfast:- Great breakfast options , especially loved the live counter special highlight was Dosa and Masala Omelette . Loved Batura and Chana masala 3.Staff Behaviour:- very courteous staff especially boat driver Peter Fernandez , Ajit Mathew (Parking ) 4. Tea at free stall :- Though the lady who made tea was not having a great attitude , the free tea given( in the evening ) was really exceptional Now let me come to the harsh realities 1. Parking location of the resort is separate from google map resort place , no one intimated us regarding the same . Such a shame that no one attended our calls especially for 30 minutes . Mr Sujith who took my booking didn't even care to take my call nor tell us about it.Such a disappointment. 2. Room allocation :- we made 2 room booking the room we were allocated (one of the room )was not having Wi-Fi connection . Despite making this known to the management , no one intervened , no one even said a sorry . Don't care attitude .We stayed all through without Wi-Fi 3. Dinner Buffet for non vegetarians : There were only 3 options in the entire menu which was non vegetarians apart from the soup , Nadan chicken curry,Goan fish curry and drums of heaven . Apart from drums of heaven ( Chinese dish ) other 2 were below par . Infact non veg options were really poor 4. Lack of Management Courtesy:- No one from the management intervened to see how to resolve concerns raised . All they are worried was money which was collected in check in .Post that no courtesy 5. Room service : Leaky flush was on the toilet , it was raised but not resolved , we were told it cannot be resolved , The Tv remote was not having good battery Other noteworthy mentions , There is a good pool for family , a good indoor play area , a free visit to the Poovar beach ...all these were good for the stay . Couple of suggestion from my end for a tourist is check the room before you pay the money . No one from the management will resolve your queries if you are let alone with an issue in the room . However it's a good place to stay wish the management is a bit more better

A very well kept resort with excellent accommodation and transport facilities to move the guests from one place to another. The staff members are very friendly, considerate and polite. A fantastic stay.

Food was good, the other amenities could have been better, as we had to leave our car and arrive at the hotel by boat, we felt trapped. As the activities didn't keep our child engaged.

Beautiful boat ride to the resort, which is perched on an island. Nestled between the mangrove forests of the backwaters on the one side and the estuary of River Poovar m, joining the Arabian Sea on the other. this resort offers breathtaking views on a clear sunny day and is a Walker's paradise. The resort per se offers Floating Cottages, Rooms and Suits, which are very well appointed and maintained. The food on offer is a nice blend of traditional Keralite cuisine with exquisite flavours of the Daals and Paneer preparations for the discerning tastes from the North. The staff is cheerful and more than willing to cater to your smallest needs.

Good experience.. stayed 2 days, room was not good at all,according to we paid ,so we asked for change the room,they did after one day stay,we paid same for 2 days..

Excellent resort. Can't have better luxury experience in this price range ..

Location & service is good. Rooms maintenance not upto the mark. We requested one day extension for stay. No proper response.

It is wheelchair accessible in all areas. They even have a buggy to travel inside the resort for elderly and disabled persons
