Over The Hill

I thought I had died and gone to Heaven when we arrived here. The grounds and pool are stunning with beautiful flowers and lovely clean pool. The rooms are spacious and has a great shower. The whole complex is spotlessly clean and quiet. The staff are fantastic always smiling and very helpful. The food is excellent and a reasonable price with great choice. We had breakfast included and there was a great choice. Would highly recommend and would definitely like to come back.

We had an awesome staycation at the resort! It was so green and peaceful. The staff really nailed it with their customer service. The only downside was that the food was a bit pricey, and there weren't any other restaurants nearby. But honestly, everything else was great!

Our recent stay at Over the Hill in Poovar was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink, setting the tone for a relaxing getaway. One of the first things we noticed was the ample parking space, which was a great relief. No worries about parking hassles! As it was a rainy day when we reached, the staff thoughtfully provided us with umbrellas, showcasing their attention to detail and hospitality. The reception area stood out with its unique furniture--especially the two wooden chairs shaped like fingers. It was quite an interesting sight! The entire resort is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a calm and peaceful ambiance--exactly what we needed to escape our hectic weekday schedules. Rooms & Facilities We opted for an ocean-view room, which was spacious, air-conditioned, and well-maintained. The view of the ocean, 3 km away, was simply mesmerizing. The resort also provided basic toiletries, ensuring a comfortable stay. The swimming pool was beautifully designed, with a serene lying Buddha statue nearby, adding to the tranquility. The blooming bougainvillea with vibrant pink flowers near the pool was stunning, and another tree near the swing was full of lilac flowers, which had started to fall, creating a picturesque carpet on the lawn. For those who love to just sit and soak in the peace, there are plenty of benches placed around the resort, offering a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. Dining Experience The food was good, and breakfast was included in the package. We also tried lunch and dinner from their restaurant, and the quality did not disappoint. The best part? The restaurant offers a lovely ocean view, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Activity Room The resort has an activity room, but I felt it could be maintained a little better. It seemed like the area wasn't frequently used. Perhaps better upkeep would make it more inviting for guests. Service & Hospitality A special mention to the staff--they were incredibly polite, well-mannered, and provided excellent service. Their warm hospitality made our stay even more pleasant.

Went here last year for my birthday trip. The staff is nice and helpful. The place is very peaceful and scenic. We enjoyed the pool and its surroundings a lot. Even the cottages are very spacious, cozy and neat. It is a bit away from city but if you are looking for a soothing time, go for it.

We stayed for two days . Such a manicured hill side resort with cute sit around places overlooking the vast coconut groves. The view is exquisite. The food is good . Staff very friendly. We enjoyed every moment.. A beautiful beach is nearby.. Cool river rides just below the slopes..|We liked the rooms. Very spacious, with nice toilets. |Overall very rich feel.

Visited Over the hill with my family. We had a great time there. The resort is set in a peaceful surrounding away from the busy city. The food was really good as well. I would like to call out the excellent staff behaviour. Our 3 year old son had an allergey and the staff were very helpful and extended support to get us to the nearest hosptital. Special shout out to the resort manager Mr Rajashekaran and the entire staff for making our stay memorable.

The property is well maintained with good land scaping. The sea view from cottage is refreshing. The staff are obliging and polite. Prefect stay for family, kids will definitely enjoy the nature.|They have lot of fruit bearing trees. .....

Idyllic location, greenery and flowers over looking the backwaters and sea. Lovely pool. Staff are really helpful. Room only cleaned on request, had expected it to be done automatically, but easily resolved. Room was spacious, with a lovely balcony. Restaurant food is good. Not much to do in Poovar itself apart from backwater boat trips, but taxis readily available to explore further.
