Hotel Ashok International

I'm not sure about the hotel accommodation or location. My review is about the food that I ordered from their restaurant which is listed on Swiggy. We usually order from Kanthari restaurant and for a change thought of trying out a different place and we decided to go with Ashok International hotel restaurant. Their fish and prawn biriyani (two separate dishes) seemed to have decent rating on Swiggy. Finally when the food arrived we see that they have given us vegetable biriyani with prawn and fish masala inside. I mean who puts carrots, beans and capsicum in fish and prawn biriyani. I called up the hotel and the receiver tells me that's how they make their biriyani. I ordered food seeing the rating and the images on Swiggy clearly showed the right kind of dish. This is unacceptable. People order online with a trust that they will get what they order because you don't see the person ordering physically. Online order does not mean you pack your left over vegetable biriyani stuff it with fish and prawn and get it delivered to customer who shells out money from their pocket. The food quality was just bad. I'd say it's below average and gave me a heart burn. Oh ordered chili gobi dry too that's a different disaster altogether. Had a bit of rice it was just horrible I had to throw out the rest. I think my old parents had indigestion eating it. If you are in food industry please keep good ethics. If u dint have the food you just cancel the order and have the courtesy to tell your customer rather than sending them your left over food for 1000 bucks!

My one go to place for homely Kerala food is Hotel Ashok International for porotta, beef roast, chicken masala, chilli chicken, veg pulao, appam and many more. One thing I'm confident is the yummy taste and the quality of service remains consistently good. Love the passion from the owner Mathew to the service staff with every interaction I had so far. Keep up the great work.

Bad service and mannerless behaved bar staff

Ashok hotel definitely surpassed my expectations. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and food was better a la carte. The morning breakfast was complimentary, starts at 8:30am, was a hit or a miss. I preferred their a la carte menu, one of our faves were Paneer butter masala and mutton curry. Also, special recognitions to the amazing staff. Raniel (customer service), Riju (room service) and the two ladies in the house keeping department were among the best staff I've met at a hotel. My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks for making our stay memorable.

I visited this hotel for a business meeting. Its a quiet and clean building. They provide parking infront of the hotel itself. There is a easy of access to this location as it is near to city.

We had a great experience here during our sabarimalai trip. The rooms were big and spacious and the restaurant was good. Their staffs were friendly and helpful.
