A Perfect Family Getaway - Highly Recommended! We stayed at Choolakadavu Lake Resort in February with a family group of 8, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ambience is peaceful and refreshing, surrounded by a wide variety of fruit and flowering trees that add to the natural charm of the place. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Jose and his brother. Their hospitality and friendly nature made us feel like we were staying with family. Highlights of our stay included watching a breathtaking sunrise over the lake, relaxing evenings in the infinity pool with beautiful views, and a fun fishing experience--complete with fishing rods and live shrimp bait provided by the resort. If you're looking for a serene, nature-filled escape with warm hospitality, Choolakadavu Lake Resort is a hidden gem. We left with wonderful memories and would love to visit again. Highly recommended!

Nestled on the serene banks of the Vembanad Lake, the breathtaking location offered a perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. The resort, beautifully maintained, blended traditional Kerala architecture with modern comforts. Spacious, thoughtfully designed rooms with large windows and sit-outs offered panoramic lake views. Comfortable beds, fresh linens, and clean, well-equipped bathrooms made it feel like home. Mr. Jose and Mr. Borjiya's exceptional hospitality made our stay truly memorable. From welcome drinks to local travel tips and delicious home-cooked meals, they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They shared stories, arranged canoe rides, and helped us discover local hidden gems. The communal areas and open lawns around the lakefront were perfect for evening chats, bird watching, or simply soaking in the tranquility. The outdoor pool setup, with many amenities under the stars, was unforgettable. We went to Choolacadav resort for a family getaway. We had such a great time swimming with the view of Vembanadu lake. As we stayed in the house with all amenities the early morning sunrise was so pretty it almost represents Kerala's natural beauty. The caretakers of the place were very welcoming and gave a tour of the place. The food arranged was the cherry on top of the cake. It is the perfect place for a weekend getaway and great family time.

The place is so calm and beautiful. We arranged a bachelor's party and very best place for the gathering. Rooms and bathroom are newly built and very clean. We have lot of space over there. We can spend and watch beautiful views, the pool is so good, and mostly the host is so friendly and very supportive.Thank you joseph chettan for the care and support shown to us.

We had a truly amazing stay at Choolakadavu Resort on 05-04-2025 with three families. The property is beautifully maintained by Jose Sir and his brother, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The place is serene and perfect for a peaceful family getaway. Key Highlights: * The property has three spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms and is newly constructed in 2024. * There's an open kitchen connected to a cozy hall, with WiFi and TV available. * The entire setup is on a single ground floor, making it accessible and convenient. * Nearby, there's another small house with 2 additional bedrooms, ideal for larger groups. * The swimming pool was clean and well-kept. * We enjoyed kayaking during sunrise, which was a memorable experience. Both single and double kayaks are available at 600. * The property is surrounded by lush greenery, a variety of plants, and animals like rabbits, geese, and guinea pigs. There's also a peaceful outdoor greenhouse area perfect for relaxing. Food Experience: Instead of ordering from outside, we chose the in-house Kerala-style meals prepared by Tomy Uncle and his wife--and it was a great decision! * Evening snacks: French fries * Dinner: Beef, duck roast, chicken, karimeen pollichathu, and porotta * Breakfast: Idiyappam and mutta curry The food was flavorful and felt homely. For six people, the total came to 6000, which was reasonable given the quality and quantity. The karimeen pollichathu (300 per fish) was slightly on the costlier side and made up the major chunk of the food bill--but it was worth it for the taste! Overall, it was a very satisfying and memorable experience. The resort is hygienic, well-maintained, and offers a beautiful backwater lake view. Both adults and kids had a great time. We highly recommend Choolakadavu Resort for anyone looking for a calm and refreshing family retreat. Thank you, Choolakadavu, for the wonderful hospitality!

One of the best places to stay near Alleppey! The host is incredibly kind, and the staff at the property were always ready to assist with transportation whenever needed. They even offered fresh coconut water straight from their garden, making the experience even more special.The location is excellent, right by the lake, offering a great opportunity to enjoy a boating experience as well. Highly recommend!
