PWD Rest House

I have booked for two days here for other two friends. They stayed only for a single night and vacated next day morning due to the poor maintenance of room. Dirty toilets, mosquitoes, no food provision are negatives they highlighted. I am a fan of pwd rest houses. Thalassery pwd rest house need attention from gvt and dept to attract more customers and to provide a pleasant stay.

Neat and clean rooms with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall, it's worth every penny.

These are government provided facilty that are budget friendly of 600Rs. Rooms are dusty and poorly maintained. Lights were not functioning for my room, so I asked them to change my room, but they didnt had replacement rooms. Online room booking is available over the website. Or direct counter booking is available. Check-in time is 11 a.m., and checkout is from 12.01pm. It's not worth for even 600Rs. While coming please bring mosquito repellent or cream to protect yourself.

Very pathetic bathroom and room. Better to book any other properties. I could see snails & insects crawling in the bathroom.

A budget place to stay. I have booked a non-ac, double room at 605 for a day. Spacious and clean rooms. My room had a balcony. This property is close to the sea, and can hear the sound during whole day. Don't forget to bring your own blankets and towel, as they are not provided. If travelling on public transport, we need to take auto from the bus stand. Suggestion: Please provide amenities like soap, towel and shampoo. Also, water heater was not functioning.

The caretaker and the environment is very good. However the wide air hole on the wall attract plenty of mosquitos into the room. I have closed this air hole using our pillows at the midnight.||They could have easily cover this air hole using a mosquito net.

A pleasant stay place.. Nature beauty and calm place. Fresh air releasing greenery around the premises. Simple office and staffs. Budget friendly rooms. A traditional style of windows and corridors. Must need special care for proper maintenance. #pwdresthousethalasseri
