Cranganor History Cafe & Riverside Chateau

We had a wonderful stay at this exceptional hotel. The location is tranquil and beautiful with lush coconut palms, a beautiful garden and proximity to the river. The food was amazing- freshly cooked to order. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting relaxation and a touch of luxury. We enjoyed the trips offered, especially the tour of the local market.|Wonderful hotel, we loved it.

I have been to India over twenty times and can say that this is one of the nicest hotels in the country. I had a large, well decorated room with a view of the river. The stone tiles, bedspread and art on the walls captured my attention. The sitting area had daily the newspaper and magazines. The swimming pool was clean and great on a hot day. Breakfast was plentiful and my grilled sardine dinner was great. The place is well kept, the staff very warm and after two nights I was sad to leave. Cranganor resort is a beautiful place with stunning views. The calm and serene natural beauty around is just amazing. The Cooks Baby & Anish are absolutely brilliant and we loved the delicious meals prepared with love. I would highly recommend this place for a truly unique peaceful experience.

Tucked away in a quiet location by the river, the Cranganor was an ideal stay. The staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, I had an upset stomach complaint from Delhi, and one of the staff went above and beyond usual guest care to go to a local pharmacy for medication for me, which cured the problem. (Thanks, Amal) |The hammocks and chairs dotted around the grounds were restful places to view the wide river.|Breakfast was well catered for. The chef makes a very good cheese omelette. |The well maintained swimming pool is by the river.|The variety of birds in the grounds kept us constantly entertained.|One day, we will return.

Excellent stay! Right from the beauty of the location, the serene riverfront and very comfortable well-appointed rooms, Cranganor is soothing to the senses. The attentive and pleasant staff made our stay memorable. Justin was very responsive right from the booking stage and all arrangements were perfectly executed. Food was delicious. There is nothing more to ask! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return.

We had a lovely relaxed stay at the end of a busy Indian holiday. Convenient for the airport and a special treat before the long flight home. The food was really tasty and flavoursome, some of the best we had. Service was friendly and courteous. Rooms were well presented and beds very comfortable. Some of our party had treatments and said they were 'dreamy' and felt well treated and restored. Bikes needed mending and were not available for our stay but really we were happy to just relax in the beautiful surroundings. You need transport to explore further afield. All in all a great place to spend a couple of nights with friendly welcoming staff.
