AVOID AT ALL COSTS: Kayaloram Resort - A Disastrously Overpriced Stay My recent experience at Kayaloram Resort in Poovar was nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone considering this property to look elsewhere. For a staggering 3250 per night, the amenities and service were shockingly inadequate. The state of the bathroom alone was appalling. There was no exhaust fan, and the window opened directly onto the parking area, offering zero privacy as anyone could see inside when the light was on. The wash basin pipe was faulty, and to my surprise, there was no water heater provided. Basic toiletries like a brush, toothpaste, and bathroom slippers were not offered, and even something as simple as a hook to hang the showerhead was missing. We were provided with a meager one towel per room. Beyond the dismal bathroom, the resort lacked essential amenities. There were no iron boxes available for guests. Furthermore, the pool, a feature one might expect to enjoy at their leisure, was inexplicably closed after 9 pm. Also pool surroundings are not family friendly. To compound these issues, the service was exceptionally poor. For the exorbitant price charged, the lack of attention to basic guest comfort was unacceptable. Kayaloram Resort is a classic example of a property that severely overcharges for a profoundly underwhelming and uncomfortable experience. Save your money and your vacation - this is not a family friendly resort..do not go there.

Good Resort . clean rooms . Improvement on Dining area will Satisfy Guests. Also Pool is Little bit unhygienic I felt. When i came before Pool was good, Recently I feel a Eye irritation after getting out from the pool and it spoiled my day.

The complement food was not in taste of kerala... would have give something different like puttu or someother... but two days they gave us same breakfast ... and their is no proper working of heater in washroom.. otherwise it is good !!

Our experience at Kayaloram Resort was fortunate, as we chose this venue to participate in the National Kalari Competition in Kollamcode. The resort's location near the backwaters offers a beautiful scenic environment, which stands out as its primary advantage. Unfortunately, the service provided was inadequate. During our three-day, two-night stay, our rooms were not cleaned even once, which is unacceptable. Regular cleaning should be a basic service. Although breakfast is complimentary, the quality of service was disappointing. The staff member who served us was unkind and unresponsive to our requests. For two days, the breakfast consisted solely of idlis and uthappam with sambar, which lacked flavor. Our request for an omelet was met with refusal. Should the owner address these concerns, we would be more likely to recommend this resort to potential visitors to Kollamcode.

It is an average resort located in a poor area. The staff was seen partying in the dining hall, preventing guests from using it. Absolutely no one was there to support guests in the middle of the night.

Poovar is a very nice place to visit... Kayaloram resort very close to the back water. They have their own boat service also. Morning breakfast is very nice. Our family members are enjoying this trip.. Swimming pool is very neat and clean. I Strongly recommend Kayaloram resort for wonderful memories in Poovar.

An average homestay where we can have some peaceful nights with friends or as couple. 5 for opening the gates even after 12am at night. BF was a normal one with tea - if we ask for extra tea then we have to pay extra Pool was small but enough to enjoy As name says it's near to the kayal and the boat rides can be easy accessible. Tip : Direct booking can be cheaper than online rates
