Marari Johns Homestay

we stayed one month with John and his amazing family. it was great time, the 1st floor room is large and very neat, beautiful veranda to relax, look at the birds and eat some tasty local style breakfast. we use a lot the sharing and very well equipped kitchen (just for 2 rooms) to prepare our meals. the bus stop is just 100m away, and same for the beach, at the end of the small and quiet alley. we had a very pleasant stay. If we are coming back one day in the area we will stay 100% with John again. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Marari John's homestay during our recent trip. The rooms were spacious, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean- truly a comfortable and relaxing environment. The hospitality of the hosts was exceptional; they were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights of our stay was the kayaking trip through the serene backwaters, which they kindly arranged for us. It was a unique and memorable experience. The location is ideal - peaceful, with beautiful spots to explore nearby, and just a short walk to the beach. We also enjoyed the delicious and hearty breakfast served in the morning. All of this came at a very affordable price, making it value for money. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic experience.

About the host - John undoubtedly is a "superhost". He & his family are very attentive to any requests made. John helped us book a boat ride at Alppuzha, which otherwise would have cost us lots of money. He made us familiar with all the surrounding and "to-do" activities nearby. If Kerala is "god's own country" john & family are definitely "god's own people" About the property - It is very easily accessible by car, and 2 mins walk to the beach. The room is spacious and was very clean. There's a sit out area just outside the room, where you can enjoy the calmness and lush greenery. If you are looking for a peaceful stay within budget, you can book this without a second thought. I would definitely love to stay with them in future.

We stayed in Marari Johns Homestay for 2 nights... It was really a wonderful and comfortable stay. The room, restroom and balcony is very spacious. You can enjoy the sea breeze with clam and peaceful environment. Must try their homemade food... They are very helpful and arrange everything for local sightseeing and boating. The landlord is very humble and helpful. Would recommend for peaceful and comfortable stay.

Hands down one of the best places we stayed at. The owner is very polite and helpful. He arranged a boat ride through the backwaters for us. He also gave us a beautiful room with a skyroof in the bathroom. The place had a big balcony with traditional wooden architecture and seating. The place is just 100m from a secluded beach. The main beach is about 2 KM away. The place is very clean and comfortable for a family outing. The rooms are on the first floor. The breakfast was tasty egg stew and idiyappams, prepared at home

I planned to stay here for one day but the ambience of this homestay, the behaviour of the owners made me extend the stay for one more day. I had my dinner here and wow!! What lovely yummy food they served. Pricing was like the market price. The big balcony with spacious room and the bathroom with sunroof gave me a homely feeling away from home. They have a common kitchen where you are free to cook for yourself. Sea beach is very near and if you want to go sightseeing or to the backwaters they can arrange a vehicle for you too. Away from the crowd surrounded with plants it is a lovely stay. Hospitality is beyond expectations. Highly recommend if you like calmness and definitely good food.

It is a perfect venue if you're planning a trip with your family. They've been extremely helpful throughout. They did arrange the vehicle for us, both auto and cabs. Their food is amazing. The beach is a minute walk from the stay and its so peaceful. My family loved the experience. Their hospitality is 10/10.

The room? 5 stars. The location? 5 stars. The beach? Just a short walk away. And the service? If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Marari John's Homestay truly exceeded all expectations. My parents recently stayed here during their visit to Kerala, and even two days after their return, all I hear is praise for the place and the warmth of the people. Their stay at Marari John's was undoubtedly the highlight of their trip. A big thank you to SI sir for making their experience so homely and comfortable. It really made their visit memorable.
