Thalathoor Heritage

We enjoyed our short stay very much. This homestay is surrounded by typical KERALA nature/farmland with thousands of palm trees. Beautiful! |Rooms are very clean, spacious and bahtrooms had been modernized lately. ||Mrs. Nair is a very hospitable and lovely hostess who spoils her guests with culinary delights. She even whipped up a delicious butter chicken for us on request, which we really appreciated. ||Unfortunately, our stay was too short, otherwise we would certainly have been able to learn how to cook one or two dishes, at least to some extent, as we would never manage to reach the same level because it was heavenly delicious. ||Many thanks again Mrs Nair!

We were on road trip to coastal Kerala and karnataka. We got one night to spent in Thalathoor heritage with Shymala Aunty.It was feeling like another home. Still remember the way she welcomed us to the property. The kids were treated with Mango pudding on the arrival. |First to mention, the food was awesome!! Authentic Malabar cuisine!!! Wanna a highlight few of our items in our menu..fish cutlet,fish curry, pal kappa curry, tender coconut pudding, Pazham Pori, puttu..to the highlight Shymala aunty is a vegetarian!! And she cooks non veg so well!!|Next the stay!! The room was super clean!! The property itself well maintained and can experience the heritage experience in every area. Tulasi maadam, the well, the walk path, the sit out.. we had a swing in our room too!!|The hospitality is unbeatable!! The experience that Shymala aunty shared was truly inspiring!!|Overall we had an awesome stay with SAFETY

A warm, friendly home stay, a cozy home away from home in a serene picturesque Kerala location. The host, food and transport access to nearby points of interest was good or enjoy the quiet scenery around with yummy local food. A great way to explore this part of the world

We had the pleasure of spending five nights at this wonderful homestay, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The house itself is charming and meticulously maintained, surrounded by a stunning garden filled with beautiful trees and a crystal-clear pond. Waking up each morning to the sound of birdsong and the fresh, clean air was simply magical. Shyamala is an incredibly warm and welcoming host who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her kindness and hospitality created such a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Every day, she delighted us with a variety of delicious traditional dishes, thoughtfully adapting the recipes to suit our taste preferences. Her knowledge and connections in the city were invaluable, as she provided fantastic advice and assistance with everything we needed during our stay. This was by far the most beautiful and enriching experience I've had in India, and I can't wait to return to this magical place and stay even longer. Highly recommended!

This is a excellent stay if you are a homely person. Silent and peaceful stay. Food is Excellent autistic Kerala Cusion. The place has an 100+ years of family history. If you haven't been around your grandparents you will love this place. The owner Mrs. Nair is gem of a person, has lots of stories about the place and is very knowledgeable person. During my stay in Kasaragod from January to March 2025, I had the privilege of living at Thalathoor Heritage with Mrs. Shyamala Nair, and it has truly been the best time I have spent here in Kasaragod since I first moved here in 2019. The warmth of this place, the incredible hospitality, and the unforgettable food made my experience nothing short of extraordinary. From neer dosa and mango pachadi to mushroom biryani and the grand, flavorful sadhya and much more, every meal was a celebration of taste and tradition. I know I will miss this food every single day once I leave. Shyamala Aunty has been an incredible host and an inspiring presence. Managing her homestay with such grace and efficiency, she is a true boss lady, and someone so many women can look up to. Her kindness and companionship made my stay even more special, and I feel incredibly lucky to have spent these months with her. Beyond her hospitality, she has kept the 300-year-old history of Thalathoor Heritage alive, preserving its charm and significance. The homestay's garden is a paradise in itself, filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, and stunning flowers. One of my favorite experiences was plucking guavas straight from the tree and eating them, a simple yet unforgettable joy. The farm-to-table meals here, with produce picked fresh from the garden, made every meal feel wholesome and special. Living in Thalathoor Heritage was not just about comfort and food; it was also an experience of cultural diversity. In my short stay, I met people from all over India and from across the world, like Switzerland, Germany, Norway, and beyond. It was truly heartwarming to see how this place brings people together, making it a unique and enriching space. As I prepare to leave, I know that Thalathoor and the memories I've made here will always have a special place in my heart. I can't wait to be back here again.

We stayed for 3 nights at Thalathoor Heritage in a room with swing. Its beautiful 200 years old property with update modern amenities.||The high light of this place is - Warm hearted loving Nair Aunty( the owner of the property) We had wonderful stay with her in her home. She is so caring and resourceful that it touched our heart deeply. She helped to organize the early morning boat ride, the Theyyam Dance performance in near by village temple and much more.||Her food is fantastic! She waited for us to have all the meal together. Its like you are eating with your family with all the laughter, chitchat and sharing the stories. At the age of 75 she is still so energetic and full of yeast for life its inspirational to be around her. ||We will visit again whenever possible as its not just a homestay but the way Aunty welcome the guest with open arms and Love. Her company make us feel like meeting a loving friend and family. ||Thank You Aunty for everything!||Lots of Love and Hugs!

Shyamala aunty is a warm and friendly person. We felt welcomed at her pristine heritage property. The room was spacious and all amenities were available readily. She was very responsive to our needs. Once we expressed our desire to try local dishes, she was most accomodating and treated us to some delectable local cuisine. She is an excellent cook and we being vegetarians were treated to delicious food. She has excellent knowledge of the city and her recommendations were spot on. We had an authentic local experience of the place because of her. She was kind enough to arrange everything for us and was always a phone call away. We had such a memorable stay here that we have already decided to come back again!
