Sri Mu Saravana Bhavan

Sri Mu Saravana Bhavan, located in Perambra near Pota, adjacent to the National Highway, is a reliable vegetarian dining option for highway travelers. Its visibility from the highway makes it easily accessible. The restaurant offers a spacious dining area, though it can get busy during lunch hours. The overall atmosphere appears tidy. Our order of Poori Bhaji, Masala Dosa, and Coffee was of decent quality. However, prices are noticeably higher compared to other restaurants. Sweets are available for purchase near the counter. Parking is provided both in front and on the inner side of the compound. Washrooms are located at the back and needs improvement in cleanliness. Notably, the same premises also house a lodging facility and a bar.

The food was okay, but the overall cleanliness needs serious improvement. There were flies around the tables and seating area, which made the experience uncomfortable. The washrooms were also not maintained properly. Hygiene definitely needs more attention here. With some improvements, it could be a much better place.

My first time there, grabbing breakfast during a ride, left me with mixed feelings. The food was decent enough, just okay really, but the cleanliness and organization of the place, especially the washrooms, definitely need improvement. On the plus side, they do have a large parking area which is convenient for all kinds of vehicles.

Absolutely no hygiene. Stinking washroom/washbasins and urinals. Though the food is tasty, I do not recommend this due to the obvious reasons. Hygiene and cleanliness is more important than the food taste.

This is one of the worst restaurants we have ever visited. The staff was not friendly either. They served cold food, we felt it was not hot and fresh... Also they served lemon juice with rotten lemon... Their serving method was also very unhygienic, dirty plates were brought stacked on top of the food, so the dirt under the plates would easily get mixed into the food. Only very cheap hotels serve food this way. Also The wash room is very dirty and unhygienic. In terms of price, it is very, very overpriced.

During a recent visit, I had the pleasure of dining at Sri Mu Hotel Saravana Bhavan, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary experience. Known for its authentic South Indian vegetarian fare, this place truly lives up to its reputation. We ordered kali dosa and coffee, and both were exceptionally good. The kali dosa was soft, fluffy, and cooked to perfection. It had just the right texture -- light and spongy on the inside with a slightly crisp exterior. It was served hot, fresh off the tawa, and paired beautifully with a variety of chutneys and sambar that were equally flavorful. The chutneys, especially the coconut one, were creamy and fresh, enhancing the overall taste of the meal. The filter coffee was another highlight. It was strong, aromatic, and perfectly balanced -- not too bitter, not too milky. Served in the traditional steel davara-tumbler set, it added to the authentic South Indian feel and made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was quick, and the place was clean and well-organized. For anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying South Indian breakfast or a light meal, I would definitely recommend Sri Mu Hotel Saravana Bhavan. A great spot for dosa lovers!

2 stars only for the area and accessibility. It's the worst food,service, and dirtier outlet among Sri Mu chains. Really unsatisfied with the food quality and behavior from the staff. The restrooms and washrooms were very much worse in cleanliness, and the handwash area pipes were leaking. Upon noticing the issue, they didn't even bother to reply. Even the AC room, too, was not satisfactory in cleanliness. The only positive thing found was a good parking area.
