I personally enjoyed the stay. The best thing about the ambiance of the property, truly in the lap of the nature. Love is oozing out from every corner of the property. The clouds, chirping of the birds and sounds of crickets gives a worthy feel. The property has its own cultivation. They also sells their own brand of cardamom. However, the preference may vary with individual preferences, as the location is little deeper from the noisy markets. So people who love crowds can give it a miss. For those who prefers serenity and tranquility, it is definitely recommended. The rooms were clean but the bed was queen size difficult to adjust with my child. The service was good, support staffs were courteous. The food was excellent.

Our stay at Makayiram Retreat Resort in Munnar was exceptional. Surrounded by a beautiful cardamom plantation, the retreat is new and well-maintained. The staff's service was outstanding, and they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The Taurus Cottage was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. The food was delicious, and we appreciated the complimentary barbecue. Although we missed the plantation trail walk, the nearby sunset viewpoint was stunning. Overall, a fantastic experience with great amenities and service. Highly recommend!

Really loved the fantastic serene Makayiram Retreat.. Enjoyed staying for two nights.. Experienced the depth of Silence which is hard to get in most of the other resorts .. As this resort is zero congestion place with the very old tall trees around and so well done with the minutest detailing of things. Birds give a sweet musical retreat too for the guests. Nonetheless the staff with their excellent service rendering has even added to the comfort stay. Food is also excellent with the milk supply from their own farm. So we are rest assured about the fine quality buttermilk and curd available there. Must visit this place for sure.. To enjoy the most beautiful resort in Munnar

If you want a nice quiet holiday in a beautiful location , then Makayiram Resort is the right place to stay.in Munnar . My family and I spent 3 days in this beautiful resort , the rooms were exceptional,with a good view of the forest. the staff were friendly , courteous and response to to your requests were prompt and efficient..chef Biju is an amazing cook and the food consistently delicious and full of flavour. On New years eve they gave us a delightful surprise with an excellent barbecue party . The overall ambience is exceptional . And they have a fabulous nature trail through the cardamom plantation and forest. A nature lovers delight. Loved every moment of our stay .. and will certainly stay there on our next visit to Munnar.

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to relax within nature. As soon as we arrived we received such a warm welcome, with hospitality that continued throughout our two night stay. The variety and quality of food was excellent, with attentive staff. The restaurant was also a nice place to relax in the evening playing various games. During the days, we relaxed in the grounds and also walked around the local tea plantations. I can't single out just one member of staff, because everyone truly went over and above what was expected to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We loved hearing the history of the grounds and local area from all the staff.

Awesome peaceful place for a staycation. There are indoor and outdoor games to have fun. Trail walk amidst the cardamom estate provides a good bird and orchids watching experience. Though the menu was narrow, the food was authentic. Baked veggies would be the only items I regretted ordering. The team is so cool and very attentive. Excellent service, clean and great ambience. Highly recommend this perfect property to unwind and destress yourself. Advise to call them and take their suggestions on the routes to reach the place. We reached via a highly challenging steeply inclined route. If it was not for Harrier we would have gotten stuck midway. Alternative less challenging route was advised by the team on our way back.

It is December, but winter's bite is not yet sharp. Daytime sun still has warmth. The warmth of the service at the resort is just as pleasant. Staying at Makayiram Retreat, it was as though one's home had been transported to a magical place. There was the comfort of being with people who cared, who pampered one with superb food. And the setting was wonderful. Different greens all around, the lush cardamom plants, the very tall and massive trees, the grass. The sky is a beautiful blue which stuns the city dwellers. The background music of the stream running through the property was soothing. Birds called, questioned, chatted and sang. They permitted infrequent glimpses, but were mostly content to play hide and seek among the leafy heights. Butterflies were less shy. The forest enters into one's being one felt part of it. One leaves the place with mind and body rested.

Moreover, the climate in Munnar was okayish during my visit, with refreshing cool breezes and mild temperatures adding to the overall charm of the destination. It provided the ideal backdrop for outdoor activities like trekking and sightseeing. Overall, I can't recommend Makayiram Retreat enough for anyone visiting Munnar. The combination of excellent staff behavior, delicious food, comfortable rooms, and idyllic climate makes it a top-notch choice for a memorable getaway. I can't wait to return!
