Veliyil castle

Best hotel in Cherthala. Family friendly hotel even though it is bar attached. We had a family trip. All the staffs were cordial, polite, friendly and helpful. Food was scrumptious. We had complimentary breakfast, vegetarian meals, Chicken roast, porotta etc.

I stayed at Veliyil Castle in Pallippuram after attending my friend's wedding in Cherthala, and it was a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they even arranged an auto for me at 4:30 AM when I had an early check-out, which I truly appreciated. The rooms were of good quality with all the necessary facilities. The only minor issue I noticed was a bit of dust in the room but it was manageable and didn't affect my overall comfort. Overall a decent place to stay with great hospitality.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a function at Veliyil Castle, and it was a truly delightful experience. The venue itself is stunning, with a beautiful blend of elegance. The staff were courteous and attentive.

We celebrated our son's birthday at this hotel recently, and it was an amazing experience! The facilities were really impressive, and the staff's courtesy and professionalism were truly commendable. We were very happy with the service and would highly recommend this place!

Visited due to good reviews heard about food (food was good). Don't know if the restaurant there exists just as a showpiece. First went for a big family dinner, that too reserved early - still took more than hour or so to get the dishes - our whole family waited in agony, with no one to blame other than ourselves to why we chose the place. Second time, went as a family of four. This time not booked, so we waited. The service for the order taking was not satisfactory (A/c was off too, even after we were sitting for like 5 minutes or more), but leaving that aside, we asked for a tea urgently (since grandma was starving). Took more than 15 minutes or so. I had to manually search for the guy after 12 minutes, still took an eternity, that too for making a tea with no sugar. Sorry to say, but peak disappointment.

I had a truly relaxing and memorable stay at Veliyil Castle. The rooms were clean&spacious.The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile.

I came with family from Singapore and have food here for my kids birthday. The family restaurant which was on first floor where we visited yesterday 04-Jan-2025 Worest experience. Food was worse. The lime juice they served was like bitter gaurd sour. What we as family who visited there felt that, they bought the food from somewhere else and served there in the hotel. Some food was chill cold and was served. I have finally asked if we can see the chef who made the food for us, the staff there were laughing. It costs around 5K. Which is way high. Serve the best food first. It cannot be 4 start hotel.
