Riva Residency

Very very poor conditions of roms and bathrooms, no facilities in roooms also. Behavior of the staff is very bad. No hot water facility in batheoom, blankets are very old and unhygienic (photos added)

Room was good the only problem i had is at the time when i was there they didn't had wifi that was a bit disappointing but i hope they have wifi now. Except that everything was really good!

Am I just having a bad experience? The only reason I am posting this comment here is that even though Palakkad has good rooms, the staff here are very poor I don't know how to behave like this so I won't submit it

Very disorganized, took many attempts to get anything sorted: extra beds, towels, room cleaning. Staff and the information they gave was totally unreliable. Communication was poor.||Lift was broken, hot water is only on for a few hours in the morning, and even then sometimes didn't work. Towels were old and some ripped. Breakfast was extremely basic. You have to log in to the wifi every hour to get connection.||||Rooms were clean and very spacious, although they are only cleaned on request. Hotel has a good location with restaurants walkable distance. Doorman was very nice. ||||If you are a foreign tourist, I don't recommend this hotel. The staff are happy to promise everything but unfortunately cannot deliver. The level of English is poor.||Laundry was promised to us in 24hrs and took 3 days, with items getting lost in the process. Better to go to a dhobiwallah on the street. ||If you are staying one night it would be fine, but more than 2 becomes tiresome.

Rooms are decent. Wash room is clean and spacious. Accessibility of the hotel is good. The breakfast menu need to improve definitely, as it has only two options with the same side dish..(Puttu and chapati with chana masala in my case). TV is small in size, can be better if befitting the room size.

This hotel is situated in the city. But nice and calm one. There is no parking place,not even for bikes. The hotel and premises are good and calm. The room rates are okay. Problems - Pipes are leaking, Hot water is available only for a limited time (6 to 8 am only). If you want to have a hot bath in the evening, it's only in dreams, The exhaust fan in the toilet is not working so you have to suffer Your Own wastes smell. This hotel is couple friendly. And some time the corridor is full of cigarette smoke.

Neat and clean rooms, well mannered staffs. I have booked an executive deluxe room. Comfortable stay.breakfast is decent. Parking is arranged in the ground opposite to the property. They don't have a dedicated restaurant however customers can order the dishes listed in the menu card, they ll arrange it for you. Or there are many restaurants nearby including an Indian coffee house. :)

It was a good trip overall. The rooms were clean. We booked 2 rooms. One was 406 which was clean. Another one was 411 in which the washroom was not good, was a bit leaking in the washroom. They also dont have parking within the hotel premises, it's just at the corner of a petrol pump near to the hotel. ||The management have to clean and maintain the washrooms properly.
