AMBAT FARMSTAY

Unfortunately for us, nothing went right with the trip. Rooms had a musty smell from the time we entered. The sofa set, the floor and the bed coverings all had a layer of dust. Cobwebs found inside the bedrooms. We were told that the place was cleaned in the morning, a claim which i find very difficult to believe. Narendran tried a lot to defend his position but am sorry to say, if he isn't able to provide clean rooms to customers he shouldn't be in this business. I had to shift to another hotel at midnight with two very tired kids and it wasn't a great start to our vacation. The road to the properly is practically non-existing... only stones and any sedan-type car would definitely get damaged badly. On top of everything, I never got a full refund, in fact Narendran asked me for compensation for loss of business!!! I am sure Narendran will come back strongly to defend his case. It is my duty to make other guests aware. Book at your own risk. Response to Narendrans reply: Point 1 - he can lie thru his nose. He says I came past midnight. Look at the snapshot of my google map time line. He says that I landed at midnight when I actually reached at 09:07. Please see photo attached. I have also attached snapshot of our WhatsApp chat where I confirm arrival time as 8:30 pm and he acknowledged it. Point 2 - about the road - national highway or expressway - if anyone books your property in future even after reading my review, will discover for themselves. Taxi driver didn't refuse. He brought us right up to the doorstep. He was naturally concerned about his vehicle undercarriage. Point 3 - thank you for the food. We appreciate the good things in life too. Point 4 - if there were problems, we are bound to highlight. The floor was chipped, the bed and side table had dust. So what did you expect us to do. Accept and Adjust ? Point 5 - The taxi arranged was at Rs 1300 for 4 kms!!! After providing me with a room which was below par, you didn't do a favour on me by arranging another hotel. Any gentleman who looks at small kids and a lady waiting with bags would've done it and not mentioned it as courtesy. Point 6 - My understanding of a farm stay might be limited. I suggest you improve your understanding of health and hygiene. Point 7 - you promised me for a full refund and then conveniently adjusted the balance. You went back on your words. When people see point # 1 and the evidence I have presented they will know whom to trust. I have some interesting photos too that I can share if Narendran goes on with his ranting. We all make mistakes in life and it would be easier if you had accepted it in the first place and the matter would have ended then and there... you chose to escalate it by being defiant and unapologetic.

We got a spacious individual villa, it has all the essentials within. It's not a resort kind but a peaceful vacay spot with few villas. The place is guarded with dogs all time. There is a stream in a walkable distance within the premise, not suitable for aged people, as the route is little steep at some places. It's also scarcely used by villagers for washing and bathing. Very helpful host Naren. U can plan nearby spots with his help neat and clean. Food was decent home cooked with nominal pricing. The helpers inside the premise were very kind and helpful.

This was a return visit to Ambat stay| We had earlier visited Ambat in March. Mr Naren is an excellent host. Took care of all our travelling needs and arranged everything to the T. Homely food cooked by Haseena. It was an enjoyable trip for my family. Will surely visit again

Our family of 4 visited Ambat farm stay recently. We had a peaceful and wonderful stay at Ambat. Mr Naren took very good care of us right from the start to the end. A clean and quiet property cut off from all chaos and confusion. Mr Naren took care of all our food requirements. Simple, clean and tasty food. We would definitely return back for our next holiday here!

It is a pleasant place to stay. I travelled with my son for his participation in a chess tournament. During the four day stay mr Naren kutty provided home cooked food which was a highlight of the stay. I never felt that I was staying away home. I enjoyed the stay thanks to the owner. The property is surrounded by trees and full of greenery.

We stayed at Ambat for 4 days and my father joined us for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about Ambat- the location, the easy access to the paddy fields as well as to the town and temples around, the food and the interesting conversations with Naren and his parents, who we were fortunate to meet. Naren went over and beyond what was required to ensure our comfort and helped with more than a few challenges we had. Naren's commitment to supporting local artists gave us an opportunity to meet a very special family of 'Tholpvavi koothu' artists and a private performance which was an amazing experience. Thanks to him, our stay in Palakkad was very memorable. We will most certainly be returning to Ambat in the future.

I travelled from Bangalore and stayed here with my friends. The location is serene and beautiful. The cottage was clean, neat, safe and spacious. Especially the host Mr. Naren and his parents were super amazing and their hospitality was great too. Home made food was tasty, yummy and delicious. The space is smoothly blended with nature and it's ambience and cows and dogs which are surrounded makes more attractive. I would recommend this location and stay for family and friends group who wants a memorable and pleasant farm stay.

Had visited Ambat farmstay for a short holiday with my family. Me and my family were delighted when we saw the place. The cottage was super comfy and the nature surrounding us was beautiful. The place is very peaceful and tranquil. The food was prepared as per our order and was very tasty. Mr Naren kutty took us around the farm and guided us to the places to visit in palakkad. I would like to mention that I was travelling with my 9 month old baby so I was able to prepare meals for my baby in the kitchen of the cottage which is well equipped with everything needed ||A big thank you for giving me and my family a lovely vacation at your farm.
