Udaya Resort

We chose Udaya Resort to host my Mom's 60th Birthday celebrations and a family get together. As it was vacation time, I wanted the kids and adults to have fun carefree. Everyone had a great time at the pool and later we played board games in the Ac rooms beating the summer heat. The service was great with timely service or fresh watermelon juice. The Resort has a beautiful view facing the Yakkara river and offers good seating to relax and unwind in the breezy evenings. The Resort has good infrastructure and is well maintained. All the arrangements, stage decorations, cake everything was meticulously taken care of. The staff was very sweet, proactive and diligent. Over all we had a smooth and decent experience, all at a reasonable cost.

Rooms are not well maintained, bathroom doors don't have locks, staff, restaurant and their service was good. Location is easy to reach and calm area, Perfect for families. Their A cabin cottage was good initiative and the view to the near by water body is attractive. The food was very good with reasonable quantity and pocket friendly.

Never ever go here if you just want to relax and chill with family . It is a very small resort and there is always something happening either a function or a celebration, swimming classes for kids ... something is happening, It's impossible for you to relax and pool is not even allowed when there is a celebration happening. They won't even clean right after everything . The whole property is always littered. Very poorly maintained. Very very low number of staffs. Over priced for this type of service. Very bad breakfast too .. Very disappointed. Paid 5k for a single room, not worth it to be honest. We have stayed at numerous properties all over India, have never seen a resort management being this understaffed and letting outsiders use the property more than guests who were promised a good relaxing stay .

12-May-2025 - Bad experience, Pool is using for public training, this is not informed to Guests when booking the room. when we reach they said in the morning that after 10AM only guest can use Pool. Till then it is given for public for swimming training. over 100s of kids and adults are getting trained in the pool until 10AM, after that the dirty pool they provide to guests. Complimentary breakfast also having only 2 items, idly and dosa. Bathrooms are not maintained at all. room is ok ok. very bad experience. not at all worth for 3000/- plus tax for rooms.

Riverside Resort offers a stunning venue for wedding receptions. The open hall is spacious, with beautiful views of the river. It provides a perfect blend of nature and elegance. The staff is professional and attentive, ensuring everything runs smoothly. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it an ideal location for a memorable celebration. Highly recommended for couples looking for a unique and scenic setting.

Suresh was the most helpful for the room. The service was amazing. 5 star is for suresh and the staff. But there should be improvement in room quality and attention to details that I blame the management. The room was not at par. The A-frame room. Apart from the view, room was not good. All the staff was incredibly helpful and amazing.

Through Google search, I found out this resort and i have explored Udaya resorts for my relax & rejuvenation pacakge as a solo trip. Reservation : first sent email for package details. They promptly responded and booked the package paying some advanced fees though gpay. They sent proper receipt for this immediately. Package : Ayurvedic rejuvenation package with daily 1 hr therapy with steam+ all 3 ayurvedic meals + Ac deluxe room for 3days 2 night , a reasonable rate in my opinion Resort location: Resort located on the river side and reachable from main road. Nearby bus stop and some walkable distance incase of public transportation. I have reached by Auto but departure through bus , very easy ,quick and budget travel. Checkin, checkout : Checkin /checkout was smooth Resort facilities: Greenary everywhere, many trees, ducks, clean atmosphere, clean grass, big swimming pool, shower facility, adequate chairs facing river and pool side, wifi coverage throughout resort. Good inhouse restaurant with room service. All staffs are somuch friendly and helpful. Owner residing within resort and taking care of this facility on his own. He is very friendly and ensuring guest happiness at his best. We can see his passion and effort on each brick of this resort. Safety wise very good. Security are always vigilant. Reception, Housekeeping staffs and restaurant staffs all are so friendly and very supportive. Room: my room Deluxe B was located in 1st floor and spacious. Big LED TV and Ac fan lights were working. Wifi signal in my room was not enough though. Complementary 1 liter mineral water , Coffee maker and toilet kit consists of tooth brush kit , medimix soap, shaving kit was provided. Furniture are sturdy and reasonable branded make. Cots having bed with coir interlinked foam material i guess. Very good for backrest. Enough clean bath towels were provided. Bathroom was clean and have water heater, western toilet, bucket mug , exhaust fan. While entering bad smells felt , this is due to improper drainge or septic tank connection I guess. But , as per owner suggestion, if we switch on exhaust fan only while entering ,then foul smell gone. Instead of continuous exhaust fan running, this stop start would be much help. I think , one small notice board in every room besides the entry door highlighting Exhaust fan stop start guidelines, water heater ON/OFF guidelines, TV on off guidelines,all other electrical equipment AC, light , fan switch off while exist - is a must for better maintenance of apparatus. For me, AC cooling was adequate. But many other room guests felt not much cooling.i think, all AC filter must be cleaned, gas to be checked sothat summer time can be passed away with out much issue. Restaurant: good restaurant, good food, good staff. Rates are reasonable. Staffs are wearing gloves, head protector and very cordial. Table is clean and food is served on ceramic plates. Since I came in the ayurvedic pacakge, my food varieties are very much limited but they ensured all my foods are hygeinic and better prepared without oil, spicy etc.. I verymuch liked this care. Special preparation need more effort but they ensured well. Therapy: therapist is very good and he ensured utmost care while doing healthcare massage. Usually, I have seen in many places , ayurvedic massage room is not at all clean , full of oily, bad smell, worst bath room, suffocating. But here in this resort, to my surprise, therapy room was so much clean with wooden rooftop, clean wooden massage table, working table top fan. Steamer module also very good and no leakage. Bath room was ultra clean , hot water provision, shampoo, soap, clean new cotton towel provided. Oil also good with herbs. 3 days i enjoyed the therapeutic atmosphere . Overall, I highly recommend this resort . Though some shortfall like noisy disturbance above my room in the day time ( I can understand some renovation work is going on, absolutely necessary ) and other small small points, since my overall objective of ayurvedic rejuvenation is achieved , I ignored all the rest!

Pool villa is worth the experience . The place offers a wide variety of options for rooms and great landscape. Closer to the city but still very accessible to all major locations at palakkad. Highly recommended for events and gatherings too.
