Ambience: Mountain Shadows Resort offers a truly spectacular setting, perched on the edge of Banasura Dam with sweeping views of misty mountains and tranquil waters. The sense of peace here is remarkable. I stayed in a Jacuzzi villa, and waking up to the stunning landscape from my bed was unforgettable. This is the perfect spot to simply relax, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in nature. Do not miss swimming in the pool by around 5:30pm! The view is magical as you see the clouds pass by hugging the mountains. Service: The service throughout our stay was excellent--warm, genuine, and attentive. A special mention to Arun Kumar, who drove the buggy and looked after us exceptionally well. His hospitality and care made our experience even more memorable. Food: If there's an area for improvement, it's the food. The buffet options were average and didn't quite match the quality of the surroundings. However, the a la carte menu offered some standout dishes. Note: the resort doesn't serve alcohol, but guests are welcome to bring their own.

Our recent stay at Mountain Shadows Resort was nothing short of exceptional. Hands down, this is one of the BEST properties in all of India! I'm surprised not many people are talking about it because it deserves all the hype and buzz. Firstly, the location is mind-blowing! The resort layout, aesthetics, service, staff, food, landscaping, and overall hospitality are simply **outstanding**. I have absolutely nothing but praise for this place. We're definitely coming back again and again and again! A special shout-out to Sharath S. J., who went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was splendid. He truly stood out - always so hospitable, helpful, and carried out every service with a smile. That said, the rest of the staff were equally, if not more, amazing! To whoever owns this property - kudos to you. You truly deserve all the credit!

We stayed four days with mountain shadow resort. It was the best stay we had. Quality of the room and service was impeccable. Staffs was so helpful, they looked after us very well.|Buggy was always available for moving around the island. |My family had a great time and we will come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Shadows, Wayanad. The location is absolutely scenic -- surrounded by nature and perfect for a peaceful getaway. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations with a variety of tasty options. One drawback we faced was the last 3-4 km stretch leading to the property, where the road condition isn't great. However, a big thanks to Arun Kumar, who was extremely helpful in guiding us through and ensuring we had a smooth arrival. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth visiting for the serene vibes and excellent hospitality.

I've stayed for a day and exploration was limited to the time. Anyhow, the serene environment with Chirping sounds of birds and mesmerising climate accompanied with soothness of hospitality made this day dozen shade better. Any how there are slighter areas to get improved, hope you will take it into consideration. I will provide a detailed review after my next visit.

Mountain Shadows Resort in Wayanad is an absolute gem! The stunning location, surrounded by lush greenery and serene waters, makes it a perfect escape into nature. Evenings at the Thattukada with fresh tea and snacks feel just right, while the cycling track offers a peaceful ride with beautiful views. The spa is the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate. A big thanks to Mr. Renjith Paul and Mr. Deleep for their warm hospitality, making the stay even more special.

We visited this resort with high expectations, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the biggest disappointment of our Wayanad trip. The view from our room overlooked barren land, dry trees, and even grazing cows--not exactly what we had in mind for a relaxing getaway. The water level in the nearby water body was extremely low. While we understand that this might be a seasonal occurrence, the resort should either adjust its pricing accordingly or inform guests in advance about such conditions. To make matters worse, a group of about 20 people checked in right after us and completely disrupted the atmosphere. We had been looking forward to a peaceful high tea at the property's well-known tea cafe, but instead found ourselves amidst chaos, struggling to even get a few pieces of bhajji and snacks as the group took over the entire space. The service at the restaurant was equally disappointing. The staff was slow and unresponsive--they couldn't even recall our order. After waiting for 30 minutes, we had to follow up ourselves, only to be met with blank stares and confusion. While the resort may have earned high ratings during times when the water body is full and the surroundings are lush, our experience was far from pleasant. The rooms, too, were not particularly luxurious or impressive. All in all, this stay did not live up to the hype.
